🌱⚽ PROJECT COMPLETE: Caldicot Leisure Centre

👀 All eyes on the first of its kind in Wales!

We're super proud to have worked alongside Sports Labs to deliver another successful project funded by Cymru Football Foundation, Sport Wales and Monmouthshire County Council that is now officially open.

The centrepiece of the redevelopment is a brand-new 3G pitch featuring Wales' first organic cork, biodegradable infill system. Replacing the previous 2G surface, this innovative solution offers a more sustainable alternative to traditional rubber infill while providing a durable, high-quality playing environment for year-round sport and physical activity.

Working in collaboration with Floodlighting and Electrical, who delivered the new floodlighting installation, the project has transformed the facility into a modern community asset that can be enjoyed throughout the day and into the evening.

The project scope included:
✅ New FIFA-standard 3G playing surface
✅ Organic cork, biodegradable infill system
✅ New floodlighting installation
✅ Enhanced year-round community sports provision

🤝 This project truly embodied the "Together Stronger" spirit. 💪 A fantastic example of what can be achieved through partnership, innovation and investment in grassroots sport. We look forward to seeing the facility support schools, clubs and the wider community for many years to come.

🙌 OFFICIAL OPENING: Afan United

⚽ Last Friday, celebrations kicked off at Afan United FC in Port Talbot with the official launch of the club's renovated facilities, made possible through investment from Cymru Football Foundation, Welsh Government and Neath Port Talbot Council.

The team were proud to be invited to the event and to have worked alongside Cymru Football Foundation and SportsLabs to deliver the extensive redevelopment of the site. This seven-figure investment has transformed a previously abandoned facility into a modern football hub for the local area.

The project scope included:
✅ FIFA Quality 50mm 3G playing surface installed over a shockpad and tested to FIFA specifications
✅ 5m-high perimeter fencing with 3m-high ball-stop netting behind both goals
✅ 1.2m-high spectator rebound fencing enclosing newly laid footpaths
✅ Installation of new LED floodlight heads
✅ 24ft x 8ft UEFA socketed box goals, plus additional half-pitch goals
✅ Two 12-seater team shelters

🤝 Another fantastic Cymru Football Foundation project for the team to be involved in, and we look forward to seeing the facility become a valued hub for football and the wider community.

🚜 HERE... WE... GO!

We're excited to announce that construction will commence this week at the new Airfield Primary Academy in Weston-super-Mare, working alongside our client, Willmott Dixon, and in partnership with Stantec and Stride Treglown.

The team are looking forward to getting stuck into an impressive project that will bring lasting value to the school and wider local area. 🙌

The project will be delivered in two phases, with the scope of works including:
✅ Six natural turf pitches with primary and secondary drainage
✅ One natural turf pitch with floodlighting, and primary and secondary drainage
✅ One 3G pitch complete with floodlighting
✅ One macadam Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA)

🙌 PROJECT COMPLETE: Scansis Court, Cowbridge Leisure Centre

⚽🏀 The team have recently completed surface refurbishment works at Scansis Court, Cowbridge Leisure Centre.

The project scope included:
✅ Removal of the existing playing surface
✅ Grading and compaction of the sub-base
✅ Supply and installation of new shock pad
✅ Supply and installation of a new artificial playing surface, complete with new playing lines
