Site Set Up Underway – Ready for Demolition in the New Year.

Surrey Hills Contracting is getting set up on site and ready to hit the ground running with demolition works in the New Year for Elivia Homes .

We take real pride in our site set up and enabling works, always striving to deliver the highest standards for our clients from day one. Site set up and enabling works are continuing this week, ensuring everything is in place for a smooth and efficient start.

A big thanks to our friends at Collards for supplying quality aggregates for this project — great support as always.

New Kit on Site!
Our new Hitachi ZX135 is out on site this week, carrying out essential enabling works for a valued client.

Powerful, efficient, and reliable — this machine is already proving its worth and helping us keep the project moving safely and smoothly.

Out on site this morning braving the cold carrying out stockpile surveys.

Using the drone gives accurate readings on volumes of materials, helping us track resources far more efficiently than traditional methods.

The drone also captures high-resolution imagery and detailed 3D models, allowing us to monitor site conditions, identify changes over time, and spot potential issues early. With real-time data and precise measurements, it’s a powerful tool for improving planning, reporting, and overall site management.

For our client, this means faster turnaround on reliable data, reduced on-site disruption, and greater confidence in material quantities and progress reporting. Ultimately, the drone surveys support better decision-making, tighter cost control, and smoother project delivery.

Surrey Hills Contracting is committed to maintaining a high standard from the very start of every project. We are currently setting up site for upcoming crushing and screening works for a long-standing client, where we will be converting waste concrete into a reusable Type 1 material.

This not only supports more sustainable working practices but also offers a cost-effective solution for future groundworks.

As we begin this new site, we are implementing our new Site Safety Hub from Conquip to ensure a safe, organised, and compliant work environment for our team and partners. Strong setup leads to strong delivery, and we are focused on doing things the right way from day one.

We’re excited to announce that our brand-new Safety Station, supplied by Conquip, has now arrived and is already up and running on one of our sites for Bewley Homes !

After seeing these innovative stations showcased at the Plantworx Show, we were thoroughly impressed and knew straight away that we wanted them on our projects.
