7m x 5m chicken run. 1.8m high chainlink fencing with 1.02m chicken wire round the bottom, skirted to 450mm to prevent rabbits, foxes or rats burrowing in. a nice plum tree within the enclosure to provide some natural shade.

Replacement of a poorly constructed rotten deck. Although built by 'professionals' the timber bearers had been laid in contact with the ground causing wet rot (Coniophora puteana) to infest and destroy the bearers and decking boards. All the old timber was removed along with old gates, fencing and other rubbish that had been put under the deck when it was constructed. The new deck is set on concrete pads with plastic shims preventing contact between timber and concrete and with all the rubbish removed a good air space has been created. A sunken (tanked) planting area was also installed.
