A little reminder from the Regent Construction team... 🚶‍♀️✨

We've shared our fundraising page before, but with the walk fast approaching, we're reaching out once more to ask for your support.
This year, we're taking part in the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity Star Shine Night Walk to help raise vital funds for the incredible care and support they provide to patients and families across our community.

At Regent Construction Cambridge Ltd, we recently found ourselves with a huge number of pallets that were no longer needed on site. Rather than simply throwing them into a skip, we wanted to make sure they could be put to good use within the local community ♻️

We’re pleased to have donated them to The Phoenix Trust, where they’ll now be reused and transformed into a range of fantastic garden products ⚒️

A huge thank you to Jack at C J Overy Transport & Crane Hire Ltd for delivering the pallets on our behalf and helping make it happen 👏

It’s great to know these materials will now have a second life instead of going to waste a small step towards supporting the circular economy and local community initiatives.

👷‍♀️ MEET THE TEAM 👷‍♀️

This week, we’re introducing Ellie Runnalls, our Health & Safety Co-Ordinator at Regent Construction.

Ellie plays a key role in supporting the implementation and delivery of our health & safety procedures across all projects, helping to ensure our sites remain safe, compliant, and well managed.

From conducting site inspections and promoting safe working practices, to assisting with RAMS, incident reporting, investigations and training records Ellie helps keep both our teams and projects operating to the highest standards.

At Regent Construction, health & safety is at the core of everything we do, and having dedicated team members like Ellie is essential in maintaining that culture across every site.

A fantastic day was had last week at the Charity Golf Day hosted by Architecture Ltd, supporting EACH Children’s Hospice! ⛳️💙

A huge well done to AJS Architecture Ltd for a fantastic event and to everyone involved in organising the day and making it such a success!

We’re especially proud to have taken home the Team Winners trophy 🏆👏

Most importantly, together an incredible £2,852.73 was raised for EACH Children’s Hospice in Milton, Cambridge.

We’re already looking forward to the next one! ⛳️

☀️ HOT WEATHER ALERT ☀️

As temperatures rise, it’s important that everyone on site takes extra precautions to stay safe and look out for one another.

Working in hot conditions can increase the risk of:
🔹 Heat stress
🔹 Dehydration
🔹 Sun exposure
🔹 Fatigue and reduced concentration

At Regent Construction, safety always comes first. Simple steps can make a big difference:
💧 Drink water regularly
🌤 Take breaks in shaded or cool areas
👕 Wear lightweight, suitable clothing
🧴 Use sun protection
🤝 Check in on your teammates throughout the day

Knowing the warning signs headaches, dizziness, nausea, excessive sweating, or rapid heartbeat can help prevent serious illness.

Stay safe. Stay hydrated. Look out for yourself and others.

We are incredibly proud to be supporting this year’s Arthur Rank Hospice Charity Star Shine Night Walk with the event aiming to raise £60,000 for hospice care across Cambridgeshire.

Arthur Rank Hospice Charity provides such important support to families during difficult times, and it’s a privilege to be involved in helping raise awareness for the work they do within our community.

Investing in the next generation of skilled tradespeople is something we’re proud to support at Regent Construction.

Aoise, one of our 1st Year Carpentry Apprentices, has been working hard on site gaining evidence towards her apprenticeship qualification while continuing to develop her practical skills and knowledge.

From learning the fundamentals of carpentry to applying techniques on live projects, it’s great to see her confidence and experience grow with every task completed.

Supporting apprenticeships is vital to the future of the construction industry, and we’re pleased to be part of Aoise’s journey as she builds a strong foundation for her career.

🚣‍♂️ Regent Construction is proud to be taking part in the Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday 5th September!

Our team will be swapping hard hats for paddles as we join businesses and organisations from across Cambridge for a fantastic day of racing, fundraising, and community spirit.

We’d love to see plenty of support on the day family, friends, clients, and colleagues are all welcome to come along and cheer us on from the riverbank.

It promises to be a brilliant day for a great cause, and we’re looking forward to being part of such a well-loved Cambridge event.

Ground has officially broken on our new project for Centre 33 👷🏼‍♂️🛠️

MEET THE TEAM | JESS SHELDON

It’s been a little while since we last introduced some of the people behind Regent Construction, so we’re kicking off a new Meet the Team series to reintroduce the faces driving the business forward.

First up is Jess Sheldon, our Marketing Coordinator and Employee Services, who has been with the company since 2019.

Jess joined Regent Construction with an extensive background in recruitment and corporate events, bringing with her a strong mix of organisational expertise, people-focused experience, and a sharp eye for coordination. Over the years, she has become a key part of the team, supporting both our external marketing activity and internal employee services.

From helping to shape how we present ourselves as a business, to ensuring smooth day-to-day coordination across people and communications, Jess plays an important dual role in keeping things running effectively behind the scenes. Her experience and attention to detail have made her a valuable part of the company’s continued growth.

Stay tuned as we continue the series and introduce more of the team over the coming weeks.
