Today, Shane Seddon, alongside his friends Scott and Callum, are taking on an incredible challenge, 72 holes of golf in one day in support of Prostate Cancer UK.

From the first tee this morning, the team are showing real determination as they take on this marathon challenge to raise money for a fantastic cause that impacts so many families across the UK.

Everyone at Regent Construction is incredibly proud of Shane for giving up his time and energy to support such an important charity. We know there will be plenty of miles walked, countless swings, and no doubt a few tired legs by the end of the day!

Every project tells a story, and this one is best seen from above.

We're delighted to share the completed transformation of the St John's College River Court & Bin Brook project.

Working within the historic surroundings of St John's College, our team successfully delivered a major refurbishment of the River Court and Bin Brook areas, including the construction of a new bridge and extensive hard landscaping works. Careful planning, collaboration and attention to detail were essential throughout, ensuring the project was delivered safely while working within a live college environment.

The drone footage captures the incredible journey from the early stages of construction through to the finished result, showcasing the dedication and craftsmanship of everyone involved.

A huge thank you to our client, design team, supply chain partners and our fantastic site team for their commitment throughout this project. We're incredibly proud of what has been achieved together.

We're delighted to welcome Jessica Harrop to Regent Construction as our new Business Administration Apprentice.

Investing in apprentices is an important part of our commitment to developing the next generation of talent. By providing hands-on experience, training and support, we're proud to help individuals build the skills and confidence needed for a successful career in construction.

Jessica will be working alongside teams across the business, gaining valuable experience while supporting our day-to-day operations and continuing her professional development.

This week, Jess Sheldon had the pleasure of representing Regent Construction and attending the CITB and Eastern Education Group Employer Breakfast at West Suffolk College.

It was a fantastic opportunity to hear about the latest CITB grants and funding, developments at the Construction Technical Excellence College (CTEC), and the support available to help employers attract, recruit and develop the next generation of construction professionals. The event also provided a great chance to network with other businesses across the industry and share ideas and experiences.

At Regent Construction, apprenticeships and training have always been a key part of our business. Investing in people isn't just about filling roles today, it's about developing the skilled workforce our industry needs for the future.

A big thank you to CITB and Eastern Education Group for hosting such an informative and worthwhile event. Looking forward to putting some of today's insights into practice and continuing to support the development of future talent.

Regent Construction is taking to the water!

We’re excited to be taking part in the Cambridge Dragon Boat Festival 2026 on Saturday 5th September, with a mixed team from across Regent Construction getting ready to paddle, compete and hopefully bring home a win!

Most importantly, we’ll be paddling in support of Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT), helping to raise vital funds for a fantastic local cause that makes such a difference to patients, families and our community.

Training tips are being shared, team tactics are being discussed… whether we’ll all still be in sync once we’re on the water is another question!

We’d love to see as many of our Regent family and friends there as possible, so save the date, come along and cheer Team Regent on from the riverbank!

Saturday 5th September, we’ll see you on the water!

From empty commercial unit to a high-performance training facility. 💪

We're pleased to share the transformation of the Hyrox Studio at Cambridge Science Park.

This project saw our team completely reconfigure an existing commercial unit into a purpose-built training environment, delivering a modern, functional space designed to meet the demands of one of the world's fastest-growing fitness concepts.

Working closely with the client, the project included:

✔️ Full internal strip-out and demolition
✔️ Complete internal reconfiguration, including new WC facilities
✔️ Installation of new entrance and fire exit doors
✔️ Specialist Hyrox turf track installation
✔️ Mechanical and electrical upgrades, including lighting, power, data and fire alarms
✔️ High-quality internal finishes throughout
✔️ External improvements, including entrance works and guttering

Every successful refurbishment relies on careful planning, close coordination and attention to detail. From the initial strip-out through to the final finishes, our team managed every stage to deliver a high-quality facility ready for use.

We're proud to be delivering the transformation of Centre33 Cambridgeshire and Peterborough new hub on Newmarket Road, Cambridge, a project that will provide a dedicated, welcoming space where young people can access free, confidential support when they need it most.

The new facility has been thoughtfully designed to include:
✔️ One-to-one support rooms
✔️ Group and meeting spaces
✔️ A welcoming reception area
✔️ Staff and partner facilities
✔️ Secure cycle parking

When complete, this hub will enable Centre 33 to expand its support for young people across Cambridgeshire, creating a safe environment where they can access advice, wellbeing services and practical support.

At Regent Construction, we're passionate about delivering projects that leave a lasting positive impact on the communities we serve. Manual handling injuries remain one of the most common causes of workplace injuries in construction, but many can be prevented by taking a moment to plan before lifting.

Remember:
✔️ Use mechanical aids wherever possible
✔️ Team-lift heavy or awkward items
✔️ Assess the load and your route before lifting
✔️ Never be afraid to ask for assistance

A few extra seconds spent planning a lift can prevent injuries that may have long-term consequences.
