🎉 Celebrating 40 Years – 1986 to 2026 🎉

This year marks 40 years of Climate Autogates.

The company began in 1986 as Climate Welding, manufacturing gates and steelwork locally. As the industry evolved, so did we — expanding into gate automation and access systems, becoming the company now known as Climate Autogates.

Over the decades we’ve grown from a small welding business into an established manufacturer, installer and automation specialist, working with customers across the region.

In 2014 we launched our online shop, using our many years of practical experience to supply gate automation equipment and accessories to the trade and installers across the UK. The aim was simple — provide reliable products backed by real industry knowledge and support.

We would also like to congratulate Dennis Clout & Tina Clout for founding the company back in 1986. Their hard work and dedication helped build the foundations of the company we are today.

Reaching 40 years in business is something we’re incredibly proud of, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our customers, suppliers, and the dedicated team that has helped build the company over the years.

For this entrance, we installed an Iroko Hedleigh design tracked sliding gate

Automation is handled by the BKV system

Access to the property is controlled via the Opyn Pro GSM video intercom with keypad, allowing visitors to call directly to a mobile phone and providing secure, convenient entry.

The system is also connected to Came Connect, enabling remote monitoring, live safety checks and quick adjustments when needed.

Installed, commissioned and fully compliant with current safety standards.

Another fantastic multi-gateway installation wrapped up by the Climate Autogates team in Great Shelford, Cambridgeshire!

This project features two sleek, automatic Saffron Flat-style gates along with a matching pedestrian gate — all expertly crafted in our own workshop.

We’ve equipped both entrances with the reliable Frog X Brushless automation system.

For access control, we installed the E1K intercom, plus a Telpad on the second gate to keep everything connected and convenient.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automatic Gate Engineer to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role for a professional who is passionate about quality workmanship and takes pride in a job well done.

As a key member of our team, you will be involved in all aspects of our projects, from start to finish. This is a varied role that will see you working on-site and helping out in our fabrication workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation: Carrying out new gate installations, including all associated groundwork.
• Servicing & Repair: Performing routine maintenance, servicing, and emergency repairs on a variety of automatic gates and traffic barriers.
• Fabrication: Assisting with fabrication work in our workshop.
• Access Control: Working with and installing various access control systems.
• Fault-Finding: Diagnosing and resolving complex electrical and mechanical issues efficiently.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Proven experience as an automatic gate engineer.
• Familiarity with a range of gate and barrier equipment. Knowledge of CAME equipment is highly beneficial.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.
