We don’t often get the chance to showcase something truly different, but this project certainly is.

We’re just finishing off the installation of a Kronoterm VERSI-I. what makes this system unique is that it’s an installed indoors.

From the outside? the only visible signs of the are a discreet grill and roof vent, keeping the exterior completely uncluttered.

Finding somewhere suitable for a traditional can sometimes be challenging. The VERSI-I offers a practical and elegant solution without compromising performance.

To encourage homeowners to improve their properties' energy efficiency, more and more lenders are offering cashback incentives or reduced mortgage rates on energy efficient homes.

The amount of cashback varies considerably depending on the lender, the chosen mortgage product and the property's Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating but can also be combined with government initiatives like the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) grant for additional savings .

Some schemes reward those buying already energy-efficient homes, while others incentivise borrowers to carry out energy-saving renovations. We have summarised some of the deals available below.

Nationwide - £500 cashback, for a property with an EPC score of 92 or above. £250 cashback, for a property with a score of 86 to 91.

Barclays - Up to £2000 for an air or ground source heat pump

Halifax - Up to £2000 for a heat pump, plus a free EPC

Virgin - £250 cashback

Lloyds Bank - Up to £2000 cashback, plus a free EPC

HSBC - Up to £500 for homes with an EPC rating of A or B

Nat West - Discounted rates for homes with EPC rating of A or B.

Santander - Discount of 0.10% on mortgages for homes with EPC rating of A or B

We have started the new year with a domestic installation close to home. Having already installed solar panels and an electric car charger, this Canterbury homeowner has taken another step towards a more sustainable future by installing a 5kW .uk air source heat pump.

The heat pump will provide heating and hot water to their three-bedroom semi-detached house, replacing their gas boiler.

The new heating system includes an IWTM-UK P1 for chemical-free water treatment, a 250L unvented cylinder for ample hot water storage, .pro insulation and is seamlessly integrated with the Vaillant Connect app for convenient remote monitoring and control.
