Our team headed out to site last week to survey the existing timbers of one of our clients barns.

We are inserting a new load bearing structure within the fabric of the existing external structure, which can be removed in future (if required), without damage to the existing timber. This will likely be a reinforced concrete raft slab supporting timber walls and floors.

I am very pleased to announce that The Clague Group Ltd (James Clague) is the new owner of BSF Consulting Engineers.

James and I have worked together on multiple building projects over many years, and I am confident he will do a great job in leading the firm into the future. Our loyal and long-standing team remain and is being expanded upon, including the appointment of Simon Goddard as Managing Director. Under James and Simon’s leadership, we will continue providing the same expertise and professionalism that our clients have come to expect.

I am very proud of what BSF have achieved over the 35 years (and counting) that I have been part of the company. I have worked on so many exciting projects and have made many life-long friends. I am extremely grateful to every one of our clients, contractors and supporters that we have been lucky enough to work with over the years, we wouldn’t be here without you.

I will now be consulting part-time at BSF and look forward to continuing to support the growth and development of the company.
