❓What is a met mast and why is it needed?

A meteorological mast (met mast) is a temporary structure used to measure wind conditions at a proposed wind energy site.

Before any decisions can be made about the design of a project, it's important to understand how the site performs in real-world conditions. The information collected helps inform turbine selection, layout design and estimates of potential energy generation 🔌

📍A historic landmark in Llanfabon has been given a new lease of life thanks to restoration work at St Mabon’s Church.

Working through our Social Value Standard, Terra Firma (Wales) Ltd rebuilt a section of the church’s boundary wall, helping to preserve a site that has been at the heart of the community for centuries.

The project is part of our commitment to ensuring the nearby Twyn Hywel Energy Park brings positive local benefits as well as clean energy.

Thank you to everyone involved in helping protect this important piece of local heritage.

We recently shared that our flagship Twyn Hywel Energy Park has reached financial close and is now moving into construction.

A special thanks goes to Llancaeach Junior School choir for a wonderful performance - especially in this heat!

We’ll be updating the construction hub on our website very soon to ensure the communities in the area know what’s happening and when.

Local residents joined a community event at Nelson RFC to mark the start of construction at Twyn Hywel Energy Park.
