Timing belts that were left too long 😬
Your timing belt isn’t really a “wait and see” kind of job.
If it fails, it can do far more than just stop the car - we’re talking serious engine damage and sometimes even a full engine rebuild.
Most manufacturers recommend replacing the timing belt somewhere around 60k–100k miles or every 5–7 years depending on the vehicle 🚗
The problem?
They often give little to no warning before they fail.
