How does Immuno-T work?

We use small fragments of the COVID-19 virus to see if they are recognised by the T cells in your blood sample. T cells will recognise the virus if you have been exposed to it before, should that be through an infection or vaccination. When T cells recognise the fragments of virus, as part of their response they will release a molecule known as IFN-ɣ (Interferon-gamma), the amount of this molecule can be measured, and correlates to protection from future infection.

The antibody aspect of our test allows you not only to know the level of COVID-19 specific antibodies in your blood, but also whether these have come from a vaccination and/or an infection.
