Carter Lauren Construction is proud to continue supporting Jon Folkes as he takes on Day 8 of his incredible Land's End to John O'Groats challenge in aid of City Hospice.

With over a week of cycling already behind him, Jon continues to demonstrate outstanding determination, resilience, and commitment as he pushes further north on this remarkable journey. Every mile completed brings him closer to his goal while helping to raise vital funds for City Hospice and the invaluable support they provide to patients and families across Cardiff.

🚴‍♂️ Jon Folkes Cycle Challenge – Day 7 🚴‍♂️

Today's route sees Jon travel from Thirsk to Belford, covering another significant stretch of the journey through the North East of England. After seven consecutive days in the saddle, Jon's determination, resilience, and commitment to raising funds for City Hospice continue to inspire us all.

Every mile completed helps support the invaluable care and services provided by City Hospice to patients and families across Cardiff. We're delighted to be backing Jon and wish him the very best as he continues north towards his final destination.

Last week, the 42 cyclists taking on the challenge gathered at Hollybush in Whitchurch for an information evening ahead of their journey this September.

Riders travelled from as far as Brighton and Manchester to meet fellow participants, learn more about the four-day route, and see the official ride jerseys.

With Shane Williams and Rhys Webb joining the challenge, it’s set to be an unforgettable event, all while raising vital funds for City Hospice, with over £10,000 already raised 👏
