Komatsu 951XC is on a special mission in the Spreewald, Germany. 🌲💧

In this wetland area, an approximately 800-metre-long log road is being built using a Komatsu 951XC equipped with an S172 head.

Why is it needed?

👉 The ground is extremely soft and swampy
👉 Machines would otherwise not be able to operate in the area
👉 The road creates access for further forestry work

The next steps include motor-manual felling, extraction by cable crane, and processing with a harvester.

A great example of how forestry technology can help create solutions, even in the most challenging conditions.

When the stems are leaning, the right function can make a big difference.

Well done team! 🏆👏 Jake, Charlie, Joe and Robbie from our team won the Carlisle Youth Zone "Reaching New Heights" fundraising challenge 🧗 (not only did they win, they more than doubled their challenge!)

We couldn't be prouder of our lads who signed up to show their support for young people across Carlisle by turning their miles (or meters!) into youth work moments - 82 wall climbs to reach the equivalent of 978m (the height of Scafell Pike)! Well done to everyone who took part in this great event 👏
