HEATING SYSTEM DOWN…

Property heating system in need of an emergency callout this week.

Sludge, rust and limescale causes leaks and blocked pipes. Dirty water in your pipes causes heating problems and reduces efficiency.

We are recommending a ‘power flush’ to our client, along with fitting a system filter, to capture damaging debris and sludge from the water in their heating system, preventing it from entering their boiler and causing damage.

We are on standby, covering emergencies both in and out of normal working hours.

HEATING SYSTEM DOWN…

Property heating system in need of an emergency callout yesterday.

Fault finding on a boiler that is not able to be 'topped up' and hold pressure. After stripping down to investigate, it has been noted that the heat exchanger has spilt and is leaking.

Unfortunately the heat exchanger/boiler has now been condemned. Due to its age, a quotation will be provided for an upgrade.

Compliant service & maintenance visit to a block property heating system carried out today.

The recommended frequency of commercial boiler servicing is annually. Commercial boilers are especially susceptible to wear and tear, given their heavy-duty use.

Furthermore, most insurance companies require boilers to be serviced every twelve months in order to maintain warranty validity.

A commercial boiler will also be checked against existing regulations that cover non-domestic establishments. This includes gas safety regulations, building regulations, water by-laws, British and European standards, and the like.

Next, the boiler casing is removed to take a closer look at each internal component. Among the parts that need particular attention include:

Burner * Heat exchanger * Main injector * Spark probe * Electrical connections * Fans * Seals * Gas pressure and flow * Flue and combustion * Electrodes * Condensate trap and pipe * Safety devices

Early start this morning, carrying out the cleaning and disinfection of cold water tanks in line with The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations.

Cold water storage tanks should be kept clean and free from nutrients, including corrosion, scale and biofilm 🤢.

Sunday emergency callout today to a HMO flooded plant room. Easy fix and will be remedied within two hours.

This callout was raised by the ‘apartment block’. We have ‘flood monitoring’ GSM signalling equipment that can remotely raise an alarm if your plant room starts to flood.

A compliant planned preventive maintenance (PPM) visit could prevent this happening to your clients plant room.
