A landmark development for the UK's energy infrastructure🏗️
The UK's first high-voltage direct current (HVDC) subsea cable manufacturing facility has officially opened at the Port of Nigg in the Scottish Highlands📍
The £350 million investment by Sumitomo Electric marks a significant step forward for the UK's energy network, with the facility set to manufacture subsea cables that will help transport renewable electricity from offshore wind farms to communities and businesses across the country🌊
BHC is proud to have played a part in delivering this landmark project, working alongside Europlan Group to provide the structural steelwork and cladding for the facility, incorporating 5,500 tonnes of structural steelwork🏗️
It's great to see a project we've contributed to reach this milestone, supporting Scotland's growing role in the UK's renewable energy industry⚡
