Mountain bike back on two wheels after some serious structural surgery 🚲💨

Aluminum frames are notoriously tricky to work with because of how they handle heat, but we ground back the paint, prepped the joints, and laid down some clean, heavy TIG welds to mend the breaks at the seat stay junction and rear dropout area.

Gate post replacement and door bar fitted! Two birds, one stone! The old timber post was removed and replaced with a heavy-duty steel post, cut and welded in-house, then finished in a slick matte black powder coat. ✨

We fabricated and put in this super nice handrail for the sweetest customer ever!

Val, who's 80 years young, called us to see if we could make it a bit easier for her to get up the steps to her beautiful back garden. She just needed that little extra help when she was by herself. So, we supplied and installed this custom matte black handrail.

The hospitality we received was belly busting to say at the least with so many biscuits, coffees, flapjacks and plenty of chats along the way she also made sure we stayed hydrated in the heat with lots of cold lemonade from the fridge. 🥰🥰

It was an absolute pleasure working on this project with such a lovely customer. As always, we paid close attention to every detail to make it look perfect as well as practical to her needs.

Last week, we performed a complex weld repair on the manifold of a extremely high-performanced Ford Focus, a vehicle recognized for its exceptional speed. A monster of a motor created by Reece Stainton 🚗💨💨💨

This repair was a real challenge, especially with almost no access to those cracks without totally messing up the manifold! 🔥🔥

But we managed to V-prep the cracks using a tiny 3.5mm tungsten carbide deburring bit on the slim pen rotary tool.

Then we totally nailed it! Pulled out the thin ceramic cups and a super long tungsten stick-out, welding in just a 5mm space between the tubes. We absolutely crushed it with a root + cap! 👨‍🏭👨‍🏭👨‍🏭

Exhaust back box was brought in for a professional repair last week. 🚗💨

Our customer had previously been turned away by multiple garages due to the thin gauge stainless steel of the exhaust. (Good on the garages for not taking his money and blasting holes into this with mild steel Mig 🤢 which a lot would nowadays!

We identified two cracks along the toe (edge of the weld) of a prior weld repair that had been conducted elsewhere. 👎

We proceeded to brush away any contamination from the repair areas using a stainless steel wire brush to prevent cross-contamination to the exhaust. Following this, we began TIG welding to achieve an aesthetically pleasing finish. ✨️✨️

Post welding we polished up the exhaust end to a clean mirror finish and returned to one happy customer! 😁😁
