From as little as £25.00 ex vat per sample (£30.00 inc vat) is all that it costs to get it tested. You can choose whether you want to provide us with a sample or would prefer us to attend and take the sample for you.

As an employer, do you understand the law on asbestos?

The Isle of Man has now adopted in to law the UK Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, which can have far reaching consequences for those who own or manage non domestic buildings and for employers whose work involves working on the fabric of any building constructed before the year 2000.

Have you, or your builder thought, or discussed the possibilities that you may have asbestos?

Asbestos was used in over 3000 different building products before its ban and can be found in wall boarding, ceilings, roof tiles, corrugated roof sheeting, textured coatings and even vinyl floor tiles to name but a few.....

Whilst it is generally safe when in good condition, it is a well known fact that when disturbed it can become deadly when airborne and inhaled. As the fibres are so microscopically small, they are practically impossible to see with the naked eye.

Its really simple to get the material checked to ensure you, your family or anyone else is safe.

The Isle of Man has robust asbestos regulations in place, which means that any employee who has to work on the fabric of your building, places a mandatory duty on their employer to have it tested. It the builder is reputable, they would have advised you of this requirement and you should be assured you are in safe hands.
