80 years of Street Crane — what a day! 🎉
What an incredible way to celebrate 80 years of Street Crane!
Around 1,000 visitors joined us for our open day last Saturday, and it was fantastic to welcome so many people through the doors of both our Crane Works and Hoist Works.
From young visitors discovering engineering for the first time to former employees returning to where they once worked, it was a brilliant mix of past, present and future. ❤️
Our employees did a fantastic job showing guests around and sharing what goes on behind the scenes. It was especially lovely to see current employees bringing their children along, as well as so many former colleagues returning to celebrate with us.
We were also delighted to have Blythe House Hospice join us, and we loved sharing a little piece of our heritage with visitors through the display of three classic Sunbeam cars belonging to our founder, Peter Street.
And, of course, no open day would be complete without Theflyingpurplepizzaeater 🍕, Pomeroy Farm ice cream 🍦and coffee from the Flock Coffee Van ☕!
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, to our employees and volunteers who helped make the day possible, and to everyone who has been part of the Street Crane story over the past 80 years.
80 years down — and what a way to celebrate!
