They might look like simple shapes, but they play a big part in the finished casting.

Cores are used to create the internal holes, cavities and passages that you can’t make with the mould alone. Getting them right is essential, so each one is made to the 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙘𝙩 shape and dimensions needed for the job.

Mining equipment has a tough job to do. ⛏️

Constant impact, heavy loads and abrasive conditions can put serious pressure on the components doing the work.

We produce castings built for these kinds of demanding applications, from 1kg to 2 tonnes, using materials such as SG Iron, ADI, abrasion-resistant white iron and high chrome alloys.

Crusher and mill components, pump housings, wear parts, gearbox housings and heavy-duty brackets - we do it all!

Using CAD, our design team can turn ideas, drawings and existing components into detailed 3D models ready for casting.

From developing new designs to reverse engineering existing components, CAD is an important part of what we do before a pattern ever reaches the foundry floor.

Our in-house laboratory allows us to take a proper look at the metal’s internal structure, checking things like grain structure, graphite formation and potential defects.

It’s useful for routine checks, validating materials or getting to the bottom of a particular issue.

Busy casting lines, and it’s not even 9am - but what else would you expect from a 10,000 SQM foundry with extensive in-house facilities! 🤷‍♂️

Automotive, marine, engineering, architectural, ferrous and non-ferrous... the jobs coming through the foundry are rarely the same twice, which certainly keeps things interesting around here.
