Last week we had the pleasure of joining a two-week CSCS and Employability Programme in Colchester, supporting individuals at different stages of their career journey. These included school leavers, to those returning to work or looking for a change in career. 💼

Lydia our HR Coordinator, delivered an employability workshop, sharing practical advice and insights on:
• The career opportunities available across the industry and the progression pathways on offer
• Making job searching more effective and efficient
• Writing a strong, effective CV
• Preparing for interviews and approaching common interview questions with confidence

The session was designed to be interactive, with students completing activities throughout the workshop and taking away practical tips and tools to support them in their job search.

A big thank you to Reece and Richard for helping to facilitate the session and sharing what real-life career progression can look like. 📝

It was great to meet everyone and hopefully give the group a few useful tools, a bit more confidence and a clearer idea of the opportunities that could be ahead of them.

Every project leaves a legacy. This one leaves a space that will support people for years to come.

We're proud to have completed our latest project at ECL Person-centred Care in Basildon, delivering the final phase of works and helping transform the centre into a modern, practical environment. ✅

Working on a live site, our team carried out a range of refurbishment and construction works while maintaining a safe environment and minimising disruption to day-to-day operations. As with every phase, careful planning, close collaboration and attention to detail were essential to delivering the project successfully.

We can’t believe it’s been a month since our Annual Golf Day! ⛳

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, donated, and helped make the event such a success. We’re proud to say we raised over £1,200 in support of Great Ormond Street Hospital and Charity.

Looking back, it's amazing to reflect on what we achieved together and a reminder of what can be accomplished when people come together to support a cause that matters.

At Houghton Group, we're committed to supporting the communities around us, which is why we're partnering with them.

As the cost of living continues to rise, more people are finding themselves in need of support than ever before. That's why we'll be making regular donations throughout the year to help ensure Trussell can continue providing emergency food and support to those who need it most.
