We are actively looking for a young person who would like a career in the general building trade. We carry out work such as extensions, landscaping, renovation works, kitchens, bathrooms etc across the Essex area.
We are not a building company that just subs the work out to the cheapest trade, we carry out all of the work ourselves and use a regular team of qualified trades that work alongside of us.
The job involves heavy lifting occasionally.
What we're after.
Someone young who would like a career within the building industry
Someone who is able bodied, willing to learn, willing to listen and willing to concentrate.
Someone who is like minded, can deal with the public and is polite.
Someone who can think for themselves.
Male or female is fine, but not a male that thinks they're a female or vice versa, that stuff doesn't belong on a building site.
What we're not after.
Someone who has to stare at their phone screen every 2 minutes at a pointless social media post.
Someone who can't get out of bed in the morning or wants the day off because they coughed.
Someone who takes drugs, smokes all day or isn't interested in learning.
Someone who uses any excuse they can to not come to work.
Mothers contacting me telling me the position would be ideal for their boy. If it's that ideal, why isn't he contacting us?
Mothers tagging their boy purely so they can claim another 2 years child benefit because it extends their learning years, - we want someone that wants to learn the trade, not someone who's mother has volunteered them so they're not on their console all day in their room.

Wages will be based on experience and work ethic, the more you learn the more you'll earn.
if you're new to the trade, that's okay we can teach you whatever you'd like to learn within the industry, but if you have no work ethic then you may as well stay on your phone all day and claim benefits for the rest of your life going from job to job blaming the world for your mistakes.
