The Poulton wall is complete! What a job this has been, incredibly challenging stone from the get go has made this job very difficult at times, it shouldn’t really look like it does given the stone we had but I persevered and with a lot of chisel work we ended up with an end product I’m really happy with.

Just wanted to say thanks to the boys at for bringing me on to this project and helping me out whenever they could. It’s been great working with you lads and a great crack. Also thank you to our customers Jo and Nigel for understanding about the slow process and being excited about the work when they brought me cups of tea. Really helped on the long days!

Onto the next one now and hopefully catch up with jobs. Would be lovely to have my weekends back, even just for a couple of weeks!

Sunday funday finishing up the entrance wall, only had a few stones to put in this morning then a big clean up.

Really happy with how this one turned out, took me a lot longer than I had originally planned but I soon realised this was one for the portfolio😂 I’ve worked 7 days a week for over a month trying to get this done before I start the next project, which starts tomorrow. Some would call that a photo finish!

Acouple months on another job now before I return to do the other side and cap them both. At least I know what I’m in for now!

Finished up a little weekend job for an old client with a mix of various stone from around the property. Happy with how it turned.

Finished up this cladding with it was a labour of love but happy to see the finished product looking great after a big clean up.

As my time here in Canada has started to come to an end I can really start to appreciate how special of an experience it has been.

I’ve climbed many peaks, built many walls and made friendships to last a lifetime. It really has been everything I wished for and so much more.

Now it’s time to start to focus heavily on walling and becoming the best waller I can be, I’m actually very excited to push on with my level 3 and grow and learn as a waller.

To any of my old customers or wallers/masons I’ve worked for or with along my journey already are in need of me I would love to get involved on as many projects as possible! Also to make new friends within the trade and add more skills to my arsenal would be very cool, willing to travel far and wide, especially considering I jumped across an ocean to do it so a drive up north doesn’t seem so bad now.

I will be back in August time so please get in contact if you need my services or fancy making some new friends and getting some work done along the way. See you soon!

As the part of my walling journey comes to an end here in Canada (for now) I’ve had some time to reflect on how cool and special the experience has been.

From a house fire destroying everything except the clothes on my back and my trusty Honda CRV to jumping straight into it and heading east to meet up with some incredibly kind, passionate and extremely talented wallers out here in Ontario.

I’ve learnt so much in the past 8 months or so and have throughly enjoyed my time here, from helping teach beginners courses to working on incredible projects which I’m very proud to have been a part of in a country you’ve always loved has been incredibly surreal at times. I’ve loved every second.

None of this would of been possible without , , , for being a constant wealth of knowledge and such a welcoming and great group of guys, who were willing to share their passion and knowledge from the get go. So for that I can’t thank you enough.

An honourable mention for , and everyone at it’s been awesome to meet you all and I look forward to more walling adventures in the future! Now we look forward to climbing up big stones instead of playing with them. It’s been a blast!

Wow what a project,

We have broken the back of the work at Royal Wootton Bassett now, with the majority of the walls built and now capped off after a long day in the sun yesterday.

Now the big push to get it all squared up before I fly to Canada in two weeks…😬
