A little job in Barnet that we've just finished.

This extension was built a couple of years ago. The original builder disappeared after taking final payment, and it soon transpired that he hadn't provided any calculations for the roof to Building Control, and so they refused to sign the job off.

Then the roof started to spread and the walls started to crack...

We got involved after the owner had employed a structural engineer to devise a roof tie system to support the roof to the satisfaction of Building Control.

Soon after we started work we discovered a number of other serious faults with the original work, including the rafters around the velux windows not being doubled up.

We put all these faults right and had the tie bars and brackets fabricated and installed to the Engineer's design.

Building Control then issued a Completion Certificate without any further issue.

The room was then replastered and decorated to a higher standard than the original build, finished in Dulux Diamond Matt White scrubbable emulsion.

Our client is extremely pleased with the result.

A self contained ground floor flat in a HMO we recently refurbished for a regular customer in Enfield. New kitchen, bathroom, skirting, doors, tiling, decorating and wardrobes. Flat is an odd layout due to the shape of the building, but is much improved by our work.
