Vaillant Arotherm Plus:

Garage installations are becoming more popular now with the options of removing any water cylinders and fill and expansion systems to gain more space for storage or removal of airing cupboards and fitting showers in its place.

Here we have utilised a small corner of the clients garage for a much larger (300l) domestic hot water cylinder, a hydraulic control unit and a buffer unit to enable a smoother operation to original radiators and assist in defrost cycles of the outside unit on cold winter days.

This system works perfectly throughout the year giving optimal comfort and savings without changing the heating system in the home and with the extra volume of heated water the system is always ready for changes in outside temperatures.

Heliotherm Heat Pumps;

The view from a bungalow near Chester where the laying of pipes for a ground source heating system was completed and this is the finished product.

Although there is disruption in a ground source installation the end product makes it worthwhile even in smaller properties.

The Heliotherm outdoor unit itself sits neatly at the rear of the property with the pipe work running underground from the bottom of the unit into the closet behind it so that no pipes are visible on the property walls as you would often see in an air source set up.

All of the utilities for home heating and hot water are situated in the outhouse so that there is no taking up of space in the home for hot water cylinders and pipes.
The hydraulic and control units on the wall takes care of the running and control of the hot water needed to be transferred to the house via underground pipes all the homeowners need to do is set the thermostats to whatever central heating comfort is required and open a tap for constant hot water.

The homeowners chose the ground source option because of the greater efficiency and space savings available.
