Today, I'm taking a morning for me!

After my first counselling session in three weeks I'm taking a moment for me in my favourite coffee shop.

I've never been into star signs, horoscopes etc but I love to see something that makes you think 'what if there's more to this'.

Today we enter the Chinese year of the horse, funnily an animal I'm quite fond of nowadays and also the year of the horse is my birth year 🐎

And the points are scarily accurate to events happening in some aspects of my life right now.

But last year, the year of the snake holds so much truth for me, a year heavily focused on counselling, looking inward at myself, realising my core beliefs and values, trying to find closure to pain and suffering going as far back as an 8 year old boy, my journey of healing isn't over, unfortunately far from it but 2026 has already started from a place of strength and standing by my truth and moving on from the weight of resentment.

May you all get the strength you need from the horse 🐎 this year, especially those born a horse 🐎.

If you see me riding mine, the reins will be held tight and I'll be slapping that horses ass hard, not to run away from the past, but to race towards the possibilities of a different future.

And remember, every once in awhile, take a morning for you too x

Tidy little utility area installed for a customer in Wirksworth, a nice little detail with the worktop as the customer wanted full coverage over their appliances but i had to consider the overhang for the sink unit and access from the downstairs toilet to the right 😎

Full bathroom renovation in Chesterfield, old cupboard removed, added in a toilet and moved the sink.

This one was all back to brick and started from scratch.

I wasn't too sure on how this one would look when I saw what the customer had picked but it turned out to be one of my favourite bathrooms to date and looks so much better in person.

For the last year and a half I've spent a lot of time correcting some really poor work that was done on 4 luxury new build properties in Dronfield.

The best was saved until last, a 3 year old flat roof had been leaking from day 1 I suspect, I had to peel the plywood sheets they were that sodden.

Removed the lantern completely and filled in as the customer never liked it in the first place when they bought the property.

All new insulation boards, two layers of OSB 3 roofing sheets, permaroof rubber roof covering, new copings and lead work 😎
