Mintdale Engineering Ltd held their Christmas Party at the Batch House on Friday Evening (12th December). A great Do, thoroughly enjoyed. One of Mintdale's Machine Operators is a few Days away from his 60th Birthday so the opportunity was taken for an early celebration of that event as well. The Operator in question answers to the Nickname of "Woolly".

Here is the reason family businesses manage to keep going - you see those two young ladies between Jason and I - they are our girls (Jess and Jorjia) and they have both taken the unexpected decision to come on board with us at Mintdale and we couldn't be prouder of them.

They both work on the shop floor, Jess is over half way through an engineering apprenticeship - setting and running machines, while Jorjia splits her time between the shop floor and in the office - learning the ropes.

The girls put the cherry on the top of our fantastic team at Mintdale - a group of amazing people, not just numbers like some companies, but work colleagues that become family.

This winning combination makes it worthwhile keeping up the fight in difficult times, when it sometimes feels like the things that happen in the world and in politics are against you.

This is why it's important to keep up the networking and socializing and keeping each others 'chins' up!

Keep up the good work everyone in industry out there!

WOW JUST WOW! What an amazing privilege it was to attend the House of Lords with some of our Mintdale family (Jason, Jess, Jorjia and Julie) and the amazing Made In organizers and associated groups last week.

Super well done to Jason Toyne for being one of The Great 100 Winners at the awards at the Century Club - very proud moment!

From the informal drinks in Leicester Square to the House of Lords then the Century Club, it was just a super, super few days - with fantastic organization by the amazing guys at the Made In group.

It was empowering to stand strong with so many members of companies who have the same passion for manufacturing and a desire to make industry stronger for the good of us all in Great Britain.

And, it was lovely to meet new people from not just Made In Yorkshire but Made in the Midlands and Made in the South West, boy do some of you know how to party - on that note - bring on next year!

Thank you to the Made In group organizers Jason, Ilona, Sam, Curt, Katy, Vikki and not to forget Rob (the photographer!) hope we've not forgotten anyone - the hard work was very worth it - well done!
