We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with the ability to react to both mechanical and electrical breakdowns, proven experience in a similar position within a manufacturing background, and the ability to read detailed electrical circuit drawings.

The role will provide maintenance in support of production requirements, covering breakdowns and root cause corrective action. Responsibilities also includes all aspects of plant maintenance including statutory testing of fire, life and safety systems.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as the Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer include:

- Support maintenance department in providing a safe reliable plant and equipment that meets the business needs and complies with statutory and safety legislation and best practices
-Reacting to breakdowns both mechanical and electrical
-Keeping accurate records of activities and stores requisitions
-Completing planned maintenance activities and installations
-Supporting business projects as and when required

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

-Ideally apprentice trained/HNC/HND Engineer with an electrical bias
Trained to at least an NVQ Level 3 standard
-18th Edition wiring regulations. 17th Edition also acceptable
-Extensive experience required in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, ideally process (Plastics / Chemical etc.)
-Ability to read detailed electrical circuit drawings
-Analytical and diagnostic PLC skills, ability to read, trouble shoot programs Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi etc.
AC and DC drives knowledge
-Safety controls knowledge
-Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team
-Excellent communication skills both verbally and written

WORKING HOURS: Monday – Friday, working in a team covering a rotating Day Shift, 05:45-14:15 / 13:45-22:15 with flexibility to also join the 21:45-06:15 shift as and when required.

JUNIOR LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

LOCATION: Chinley, High Peak

SALARY & BENEFITS: £18,000-22,000 per annum, dependant on experience

WORKING HOURS: Monday - Thursday 08:30-17:00 and 08:30-14:30 on Friday.

We have an exciting new opportunity as a junior laboratory technician in a fast paced and industrial environment. The role is supporting the R&D laboratory with production and basic testing of samples.

Experience is not essential as full training will be provided. However, a can do attitude and a willingness to learn are essential. This role would be suited to either a school / college leaver or candidates looking for a change of direction or an entry level role in a laboratory environment.

Duties will include;

- Efficiently completing lab scale mixes with high precision.

- Physical and rheological testing including extrusion, impact testing and hardness testing.

- Assisting with R&D based QC testing of incoming materials.

- Keeping the mixing and weighing room stocked, organised and clean.

- Assisting in the production of samples for customers.

Qualifications

No qualifications are required and full training will be given.

Essential skills / experience:

- A keen attention to detail.

- Be proficient in Office 365.

- As the job includes manual labour the candidate must be able to lift a 25 kg sack.

Desirable skills / experience (but not required):

- Knowledge of PVC or polymers and/or stabilisers.

- Previous mixing or lab experience.

THE ROLE: You will work as part of a team essentially making large volume recipes, placing the raw materials, into large hoppers and then once mixed bagging the finished goods which are plastic pellets ready for our logistics team to ship directly to our customers. This role offers great opportunity to advance within a successful growing company.

THE COMPANY: Orbia have been developing and manufacturing PVC compounds for over 40 years for some big brand household names. We are currently looking for Machine operators in our busy Granulation and Recycling department to join our team in Chinley, High Peak, Derbyshire SK23

THE ROLE: The role consists of separating materials by hand into different categories. These materials are then processed through the granulator and into bulk bags. The bags are then removed and replaced. The role also involves filing in paperwork and scanning the weights of the materials into SAP and labelling bags of materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Separating waste products into
separate colours
• Use of an FLT / Bobcat (licence preferred but not essential)
• Following health and safety procedures and working safely at all times
• Manually completing hourly production sheet in an accurate and timely manner
• Working to daily targets using effective time management skills

THE CANDIDATE: Communication skills and time management skills are essential.
