At MJ Church, we’re looking for an LGV Technician to maintain and repair a wide range of vehicle, from panel vans and flatbeds to pick-ups and cars.

Working as part of a skilled team, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and ready for the job. You’ll need solid experience, a proactive approach, and your own tools.

Great to be part of the recent Skanska Open Day, at their A47 Thickthorn Junction Project In Norwich, supporting an event focused on showcasing careers across the construction industry.

Working alongside Skanska and a range of supply chain partners, including our construction technology partner SITECH Construction Systems UK & Ireland, it was a fantastic joint effort to engage with attendees and highlight the opportunities within our industry.

With Norwich being a new area for MJ Church, it was brilliant to be forging new connections and building relationships across the region.

On the day, the MJ Church team demonstrated:
✔ 3D modelling and digital delivery
✔ Hands on experience of Trimble Earthworks using an emulator
✔ Engineering and surveying pathways into the industry
✔ Insights into careers across civils and construction

The event provided a great platform to connect with students, jobseekers, and those considering a career in construction - helping to build awareness, share knowledge, and inspire future talent.

🎥 Project Update | A350 Chippenham Bypass

Take a look at the drone footage capturing a key milestone on the A350 Chippenham Bypass scheme the successful lane switchover.

This phase marks an important step forward in the delivery of the project for Wiltshire Council, helping maintain traffic flow while enabling continued progress on site.

The scheme will improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and enhance connectivity around Chippenham.

Careful planning, coordination, and teamwork have been essential to ensure the transition was carried out safely and efficiently, with minimal disruption to road users.

MJ Church welcomed members of the public, Our Wiltshire Council, and students to a Carbon in Action Day as part of the A350 improvements project showcasing how carbon is being actively measured, managed, and reduced on a live highways scheme.

Delivered in collaboration with Wiltshire Council, the day gave attendees a real insight into how sustainable infrastructure is being delivered in practice, and what this means for the future of construction.

Visitors experienced Carbon in Action: The A350 Story, an interactive showcase demonstrating the steps being taken to reduce environmental impact, alongside live examples of low-carbon plant and alternative fuels, including electric machinery, HVO and emerging hydrogen technologies.

A big thank you to our industry partners Plantforce Rentals for showcasing low-emission equipment, and Ford Fuels for demonstrating how alternative fuels are helping to reduce carbon across our projects.

The day also highlighted how materials from Wick Quarry are being repurposed through a circular economy approach, as well as opening up conversations around careers, apprenticeships, and opportunities within the industry.

A great day engaging the community, sharing knowledge, and working towards a more sustainable future.
