That project you turned down because the material itself was dictating the rules? No need to anymore.
Most roofing systems come with strict limitations, such as roof pitch requirements and permitted structural types. In practice, this significantly narrows the range of projects in which they can actually be used.
With Metrotile, however, installation is possible on roofs with pitches from 10° to 90°, allowing contractors to work on both low-slope and steep roof structures. A clear example is Thornhill Primary School. Existing truss blocks, asbestos, and the critical condition of the structure made it impossible to use standard roofing systems without additional structural reinforcement works.
But the lightweight nature of Metrotile Slate .9’s roofing system enabled installation without strengthening the frame. The project was completed during the school holiday without delays or budget overruns.
With Metrotile, no project has to be rejected because of technical limitations: https://www.metrotile.co.uk
