Maintaining our Global Footprint whilst Refreshing the MOD
ServiceSport deployed a team of engineers to Cyprus to onboard the remaining sites and deliver a comprehensive service, maintenance and repair provision for British Forces Cyprus. As part of the visit, the engineers also conducted a Preventative Maintenance Workshop, equipping onsite personnel with the knowledge to carry out weekly and monthly maintenance checks, with the overall aim of prolonging the lifespan of equipment across all BFC sites.
There was even time for some friendly competition, with our engineer taking the win in the three-point shootout.
Back in the UK, the Royal Navy Refresh Installation at the HMS Drake Wyvern Centre has been successfully completed. All assets within the Strength Gymnasium were refreshed, with extremely positive feedback from the site and service personnel. As noted by staff, “it will make a massive difference to the onsite training and fitness experience for our people.”
This was followed by the extraction of physical training equipment from London Central Garrison. The Refresh team at ServiceSport will ensure these used assets - some of which are not that old - are given a new lease of life, restoring them to optimal condition for continued use.
All in all, a productive day in (the Big Smoke) London - with the weather certainly on our side.
Our MOD & Government Representative attended a Unit Health Fair at Army Foundation College Harrogate, where a range of health and wellbeing initiatives were showcased. ServiceSport delivered an engaging “How Powerful Are You?” stand, with both military and civilian personnel across various age groups competing to be recognised as the most powerful in their category on the wattbike.
The activity was extremely well received, with strong participation and a great sense of friendly competition throughout the event.
