Back in the spring IDC Conveyors was contacted about belt damage to a combine pickup header belt. IDC attended the farm and performed repairs to the damaged parts of the belt. The belt had become damaged with splits in both edges of the belt. These damaged portions were repaired to prevent them growing any bigger and causing catastrophic failure during harvest.

The pickup header uses a driven belt to harvest specialist crop types by driving along and lifting the cut rows up and into the combine for processing.

On site fabrication of an access maintenance platform.

IDC have been busy out on site recently with teams all over the UK. One of the has been working at a customers site at Stansted airport. The team have been constructing a new personnel and maintenance platform to assist the warehouse operators unblocking a spiral chute. The platform also allows the maintenance team to gain better and safer access to a variety of critical conveyor components. The platform features an access ladder with spring closing gate to create the safest possible working environment for the operators.
In this situation the access to the work area was so small and tight that the platform required fabricating in situ on site. IDC worked closely with the customer to ensure that this was done in a safe and professional manner with no disruption to their operations.

IDC Conveyors recently designed, manufactured and installed a number of heavy duty gravity roller gates for one of their London sites.

The customer’s on site maintenance manager came to IDC looking for a better solution to the equipment they had installed already. They required a heavy duty, strong and robust gravity roller gate to bridge a gap between two conveyors whilst also providing personnel escape route access. IDC’s design team measured each location individually and designed a solution to suit. These were then manufactured in house and installed by our trained engineers.

Ball transfer units aiding smooth material handling

Full Systems - We work closely with our clients on these projects to design, manufacture and install a professional conveyor system that works to exceed the customers expectations.

Spares - IDC Conveyors hold good stock levels of all our primary components and equipment. We will however endeavour to try and source any additional items that we do not stock within our customers lead times.

Modifications - They way conveyor systems are used and operated can change over time. We work along side our clients to understand how their system is now working and then implement and design modifications to best suit the new way of working. These are then manufactured in our facilities in Gloucestershire before being installed by our professional site teams.

Repairs - IDC Conveyors have a number of breakdown engineers who visit sites to repair or trouble shoot the problems with the conveyor systems.
