Whatever your setup, there's a Varifold for it.

Our two, three, four blade versions are designed to produce excellent thrust when motoring with exceptionally low noise and vibration levels, and when folded for sailing, to reduce drag to minimum.

Many well known yacht manufacturer's now fit Varifold as standard and the list of yachts re-propped with a Varifold to solve existing problems grows longer.

For many yacht owners, sustainability at sea remains an ambition for the future. For the crew of the sailing yacht Ya, it is already a reality.

Currently, on her second circumnavigation using the original Bruntons Autoprop Eco*Stars supplied in 2013, Ya is now operating completely fossil free, with no diesel and no gas on board. The yacht is fully electric, including the galley, and continues to demonstrate how efficient propulsion and regeneration technology can transform long-distance cruising.

The story of Ya has already attracted attention for its pioneering approach to sustainable voyaging, but what makes the yacht especially impressive is the real-world performance of the Bruntons Autoprop Eco*Star system after more than 50,000 miles at sea. Last week we held a training day organised by our Technical Manager, Robert Mutton and Simon Burwood, the Education Manager for the Pioneer Sailing Trust.

The trust trains apprentices focused on classic boats and boat restoration. The training day provided a basic introduction to marine propulsion, including the key factors involved in propeller sizing and correct specification.

It's great to have the opportunity to pass on our specialist knowledge to up-skill the industry and train the next generation of marine craftsmen and women.
