As promised, here’s the video of the Alpler 8 ton top dressing machine in action this morning at Harrogate Town AFC⚽️

Spreading 80 ton of sand and making light work of it from start to finish 👌

A huge thank you to George Booth of GBB Services Ltd, who recently purchased the machine. We’re absolutely delighted to see it performing so well and helping get the job done quickly and professionally.

Fantastic results all round and great to see the machine already hard at work! 💪

Started with a simple call after a customer saw our lime spreader advert…

“Will it spread sand?”
👉 Yes… but not quite that simple.

Customer came to view the machine and needed it running on a hydraulic bed drive instead of the standard land drive.

We said… leave it with us.

With help from local suppliers, we sourced a 1:5 ratio gearbox + hydraulic motor — that got the ball rolling.
A quick mock-up proved the concept… but it needed strengthening.

Enter local engineer Kenny 🔧 — and just like that… we’re up and running.
