A milestone to reflect on.

This week, our team moved into our new headquarters at Westlakes Science Park.

For many businesses, an office is simply a place to work. For us, it represents part of a much bigger journey.

From our early days working out of a small office in Cleator Moor, to a team of over 100 people delivering projects across Cumbria and beyond, every step has been built on hard work, trust, and the support of good people around us.

We’re proud of the projects we’ve delivered, but even more proud of the people behind them.

Thank you to our team, clients, supply chain partners, and everyone who has supported us along the way.

A special thank you to Joanne Crowe and the team at we spent over a decade there, and their support played an important part in our growth.

Here’s to the next chapter.

We had the pleasure of welcoming Shirley Fawcett, the , along with local partners from and supporters into Aspire Academy this week — giving them a real look at what’s being built here in West Cumbria.
For me, this has never just been about construction skills.
It’s about confidence, direction, purpose — and creating opportunities for young people who may just need someone to believe in them early enough.

I know firsthand what learning a trade can do for a person.
It gave me structure, resilience, and a path forward.

That’s why Aspire matters.

Small groups. Real conversations. Practical skills.
And hopefully, a stepping stone into employment, apprenticeships, or simply a better sense of self-worth.

A big thank you to Shirley for taking the time to visit, and to everyone continuing to support the vision behind Aspire Academy — through funding, encouragement, opportunities, and belief in the next generation.

⛰️🚵🏼‍♀️WILD ENNERDALE — ON THE NATIONAL STAGE 🚵🏼‍♀️🏔️

The landscapes we work and live in here in West Cumbria are starting to get the recognition they deserve.

Recent updates around and the development of nationally recognised footpaths through the Ennerdale Valley highlight something we’ve always known locally — this place is special.

From restoration work along the River Liza to ongoing improvements linked to the Coast to Coast National Trail, there’s a real shift towards protecting and opening up this part of the Lake District National Park
For us as a business, it matters.

are not just building across Cumbria — we’re part of it and places like are a reminder of what we’re working to protect, enhance, and leave behind.

Day 50. Marathon 50. 🏃‍♂️

Caught up today with the incredible as he continues his 100 marathons to London challenge.

What Gary is doing takes serious grit. Day after day, marathon after marathon — just showing up and getting it done.

We’re proud to support him and proud to see someone from Cleator Moor inspiring so many people along the way.

We had the pleasure of welcoming (Cumbria Community Foundation) and Nuclear Waste Services to Aspire Academy this week.

It’s important for us to show what their support is actually helping to build.

If you know me, you’ll know how much I care about this area. I grew up in Cleator Moor and found my direction through learning a trade — starting with a bricklaying apprenticeship at Lakes College.

That experience shaped everything.

A blue-collar skill gave me discipline, confidence and a career. Aspire Academy is built on that same belief — that practical skills can change trajectories.

We’re not just teaching construction techniques.
We’re helping young people find structure, belief and a pathway forward.

Grateful for the trust and backing from CCF and Nuclear Waste Services.

Proud of what’s growing here in West Cumbria.

Thirty years ago I started a three-year brickwork apprenticeship.

Early mornings. Cold hands. Learning the trade properly.

There were moments back then — real fork-in-the-road moments — where good and bad decisions were stood side by side.
Street corners you don’t forget.

Thankfully, I chose right more often than wrong.

The skills haven’t left me. They never do.
They just evolve.

Today we employ over 100 local people.
And through Aspire Academy, we’re trying to give others that same starting point — discipline, skills, structure, and a better chance of making the right choices.

Brick by brick still means something.
