You meet, or don’t meet in this case, lots of different types of people running a business. But the one thing that really gets my backup are the people who book in and don’t show up or cancel ridiculously late not allowing time to fill the gaps in the work schedule. Sometimes things happen and that understandable but to send an email at 18.36 to say they won’t be coming in the morning as they are selling the car is simply not acceptable. That spot could have been filled if we had at least 24hours notice, meaning a genuine customer who is patiently waiting for a cancellation could have got their job done. So not only does it affect other customers, we now have running costs and staff being paid with no work.

Please please please, if you are booked in and know you won’t be attending give us a chance to fill you space and give us a much notice as possible.

In this particular case, I have now black listed Clive D from ever booking in or purchasing anything from us in the future as I have found this particularly insulting and rude.

Working in this heat is not fun, so a good friend of mine is installing aircon for us. He does both commercial and private properties so if you are looking to cool your property down give him a call

After much deliberation we are having to announce that we have made the difficult decision to make a small price increase across the the majority of the parts we supply and the labour cost for our in house services. This decision is something we don’t take lightly and have resisted for as long as we can, absorbing as much as we can and not passing it onto our loyal customers. But as we all know the cost of everything has increased dramatically over the past 18months and we simply just can’t keep the prices frozen for much longer.

The price increases will be published in the coming weeks, but we will not be implementing them until the start of May. This is to ensure that all the jobs we have booked in up until the end of April will stay at the existing advertised prices.

I can only apologise for the increases , but unfortunately it’s a must if we want to carry on supplying our customers with highest levels of product quality and services. We will not use substandard parts in a bid to reduce costs as this will massively compromise our core belief of only supplying the best quality parts and services.

The parts supply issue which stopped us carrying out the haldex judder repair is now resolved. We are contacting everyone we had to cancel to rebook them in, and taking new bookings

We maybe closed to the world but hard at work giving the space a spruce. Hard to believe the grime and dirt created in 7 months since we moved in

Wishing all our customers past and present a Merry Christmas and Happy New year.

We will be closing on Thursday 18th December and will reopen on Monday 5th January .

During this time any online orders placed will be dealt with upon our return in January.

If you are desperate for parts to fit over the Christmas period please get in contact as early as possible so we have chance to pack and dispatch the items. All orders are collected around midday so any orders needing to dispatched before we close will need to be placed early to mid morning.

If you are trying to return an old exchange unit, you can do this via the returns label and the Parcelforce website sent out with your order. But please be aware that we won’t be there to allow the courier access to the unit, so it probably best to wait until the new year. During this period the 14 day return time is not applicable so don’t worry about the surcharge.

Thanks from all the team at Bell Engineering for your continued support and custom, and we are looking forward to speaking to you in 2026.
