Solar Panel Royalty - Powering King Harold Road!
A "home game" for the Indigo Energy crew this morning! Daryl and the team are right here on our home turf in Colchester, heading over to King Harold Road for an extensive, full-system install.

Here is the setup we're fitting today:

The Indigo Energy team is kicking off the week just outside Cambridge in Impington for an exciting, multi-roof installation!

Our customers are currently renovating their home from top to bottom and making smart energy a core part of the project—drastically slashing their running costs while doing their bit for the environment.

It’s a technical, high-spec install split across three different roof sections:

⚡ 21 x High-Efficiency Solar Panels (installed across 3 separate roofs)
🔌 SolaX Hybrid Inverter (IES 8kW)
🔋 Over 15kWh of Battery Storage (3 x 5.1kWh SolaX batteries)

We’ll be here for the next couple of days getting everything engineered, mounted, and commissioned.

We are a local solar power company looking for an experienced and reliable Solar Roofer / Installer to join our growing team.

The role involves installing solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties, with a strong focus on quality workmanship, safety and customer satisfaction.

The Role

•⁠ ⁠Installing solar PV panels on a variety of roof types
•⁠ ⁠Carrying out roof preparation and associated roofing work
•⁠ ⁠Installing mounting systems, rails and solar panels
•⁠ ⁠Working safely at height and following all relevant health and safety procedures
•⁠ ⁠Working as part of a small, friendly installation team
•⁠ ⁠Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and leaving each job clean and tidy

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

•⁠ ⁠Experienced in roofing and/or solar PV installation
•⁠ ⁠Confident working at height with qualifications if possible
•⁠ ⁠Reliable, hardworking and professional
•⁠ ⁠Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
•⁠ ⁠Customer-focused with good communication skills
•⁠ ⁠Committed to working safely and to a high standard
•⁠ ⁠A full UK driving licence holder

Solar installation experience is preferred, but experienced roofers with a genuine interest in renewable energy will also be considered.

Early Starts & Big Teamwork: On the Road to Kent! 🚐💨
An early alarm and a few bags under the eyes this morning, but nothing slows down the Indigo Energy crew!

We’re heading over the QEII Bridge bright and early, navigating the Dartford traffic, and heading down into Kent for a specialist job: installing 17 high-performance solar panels on a natural slate roof.

Slate requires extra precision and care, so it’s going to be a long day on the tools—but that’s what we’re here for. Big appreciation to the team for putting the hard yards in today.
