⚠️ THIS is what happens when you burn the wrong wood! ⚠️

This customer, didn’t realise they were burning the wrong wood…she purchased wood that was supposed to be seasoned 🥴

What you see in this bucket isn’t just ash. It’s the products of combustion from unseasoned wood - thick, black, corrosive soot, tar and creosote.

And inside the burner? All the fire bricks couldn’t be removed - we had to chisel them out so we could service the stove and sweep the flue. Which means a complete new set of firebricks will have to be fitted 🫣

When you burn wet wood:
🔥 It doesn’t burn, it smoulders - wasting your money
💧 All the energy goes into boiling off water, not heat
🧱 The moisture and chemicals can destroy your fire bricks, liner and stove
🔥 It creates tar & creosote which is a MAJOR chimney fire risk
💨 It produces more smoke and harmful CO - bad for you and your neighbours

What you SHOULD burn:
✅ Woodsure ‘Ready to Burn’ certified wood
✅ Seasoned wood with UNDER 20% moisture content
✅ Only burn dry, clean wood - not pallets, MDF, painted wood or rubbish

Cheaper wood is never cheaper in the long run. Make sure you’re ready and stocked with the good and correct logs to burn🔥
