Heating oil prices have been high this year, and we know many of you have been holding off on ordering in the hope prices will drop. You’re not alone: UKIFDA estimates heating oil sales are down 20–30% since the spring.

The problem is that tank levels across the UK are now unusually low just as winter arrives. Colder weather means higher demand, and icy roads can make deliveries harder. If lots of people order at the last minute, wait times can stretch.

Our advice:
