We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our growing team, specialising in the installation and maintenance of Heat Pump and Solar PV systems across residential and commercial properties.
Role Overview:
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out all electrical aspects of Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP), Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP), and Solar PV installations. This includes wiring, testing, commissioning, and fault-finding, ensuring all systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with current regulations.
You will work closely with installation engineers and customers to deliver high-quality renewable energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and wire heat pump systems (ASHP & GSHP) and Solar PV systems, including inverters, consumer units, isolators, and control systems.
Carry out electrical testing, inspection, and commissioning in line
with BS 7671 (18th Edition).
Complete system upgrades, including consumer unit replacements and necessary circuit modifications.
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on existing renewable energy systems.
Ensure compliance with MCS standards, building regulations, and
health & safety requirements.
Complete all required certification and documentation (EIC, Minor Works, commissioning paperwork).
Provide professional and clear communication with customers on-site.
Work both independently and as part of a team to complete projects to schedule.
Skills & Qualifications:
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
• 2391 Inspection & Testing (preferred).
• Experience working with Heat Pumps and/or Solar PV systems (minimum 2 years preferred).
• Knowledge of renewable energy systems and grid connection requirements.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
