Fixings.

Using the correct fixings when installing fire doors is key; size, spacings, type, substrate, structural opening; all need to be checked and approved with the test data.

When fixing the frame;
* Fixings within 200mm of top & bottom of frame jambs
* Intermediate fixings at 600mm max centres
* Appropriate type for the wall/ substrate
* Fixings must pe*****te the wall by a minimum of 40mm

All considerations when selecting the correct fixing to make sure it complies and performs as it is intended to in fire 🔥

I am proud to see almost complete his level 3 with just the exams to go. Wes is a key member of the team, a top chippy, has a good eye for detail and always does a great job. I cannot fault his attitude or commitment to work, top lad.
