We have recently taken delivery of three new Fronius UK Fortis 320 welding machines, adding to our existing fleet of welding equipment and further strengthening our fabrication capabilities here at LFE Engineering.

This investment provides our welding team with modern, reliable equipment to support consistent weld quality, improved efficiency and the high standards our customers expect.

A special thank you to Sphinx Industrial Supplies Ltd for supplying the machines and supporting us with this latest investment.

We look forward to seeing them put to work across our upcoming projects.

Great to see the story of Highfield Road Park and its new sign featured by CoventryLive.

The response to the unveiling has shown just how many memories people still have of Highfield Road and how much the former ground continues to mean to Coventry City Football Club supporters.

We’re proud that LFE Engineering could play a small part in helping to keep that history visible.

Today, we were proud to unveil a new sign at Highfield Road Park in Coventry.

The park occupies a very special place in the city’s history, standing on the site of Coventry City Football Club former Highfield Road ground.

Created in collaboration with Paul Hughes of Coventry Neweld, the project was led by LFE Director Martin Carolan, designed by Aurel Elezi and fabricated by Paul Cannon.

From the initial CAD design through to fabrication in our workshop and today’s unveiling, it has been fantastic to see the project come together.

To make the occasion even more fitting, the ribbon was cut by former Coventry City Football Club player and the last goal scorer at Highfield Road, Andy Whing.

We’re delighted to have played a part in creating something that celebrates the heritage of this important location and can be enjoyed by the local community for years to come.

The photographs show the complete journey—from the original CAD design and manufacturing process to the finished sign being officially unveiled.

Another LFE project taking shape.

Our team is currently upgrading an engine test cell, including the manufacture and installation of new steel support structures, access platforms and GRP grating around the existing test equipment.

The photographs show the progress from the initial steel framework through to the installation of the new walkways.

Working within an existing facility demands precise planning and installation to integrate new steelwork around existing equipment, services and infrastructure while maintaining safe, practical access.

A great example of our workshop fabrication and on-site installation capabilities coming together.

This month we're shining the spotlight on Erik Szasz, Design & Project Engineer, who is approaching 10 years (on 3rd July) with LFE Engineering after joining us in July 2016.

Erik's journey is a fantastic example of how embracing opportunities and continually developing new skills can shape a rewarding engineering career.
Starting as a Fitter, working alongside his father, Erik was offered the opportunity to complete a Level 2 Welding Apprenticeship, achieving a Distinction before progressing to Level 3, where he once again graduated with a Distinction.

During his apprenticeships, Erik gained experience across the business, including Press Brake, CNC Laser, shopfloor equipment and site work. Around two and a half years ago, he took on a new challenge, joining our design team as a Junior Design Engineer. Today, he works as a Design & Project Engineer, combining hands-on manufacturing experience with engineering design to deliver projects from concept through to completion.
Some of Erik's highlights include:
• Automotive engineering projects for a range of clients
• Specialist training in France on our wire bending machine
• Installation work at Cummins and JLR
• Supporting the manufacture of numerous water treatment tanks and bespoke fabrications

Outside of customer work, Erik enjoys applying his creativity to personal projects, from designing prehistoric animal sculptures during his apprenticeship to transforming laser offcuts into a bespoke gate for his home.

When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Erik said it's the variety of work, the opportunity to tackle new challenges and the chance to keep learning. Looking back, he's most proud of his career progression from fitter, to apprentice welder, to Design & Project Engineer and of the many skills he's developed along the way, which he now enjoys sharing with colleagues.

Martin Carolan commented:
"Erik's journey is one we're incredibly proud of. Achieving Distinctions in both his Level 2 and Level 3 apprenticeships before progressing into our Design & Project team is a fantastic achievement.
His willingness to learn, embrace new challenges and continually develop has been outstanding. Erik is a great example of what can be achieved through hard work, commitment and making the most of every opportunity. We're excited to see where the next stage of his career takes him."

Erik's story reflects LFE's commitment to investing in people, developing talent from within and creating opportunities for individuals to build long-term careers in engineering.

Thank you, Erik, for your dedication and contribution, we're looking forward to seeing what the future holds for you.

It isn't every day that you have the opportunity to play a part in a project that means so much to the local community.

LFE Engineering was proud to work alongside the fantastic teams at Creation Shopfitters LLP and Coventry City FC to help deliver the club's impressive new retail store.

From the initial tender through to design, manufacture, installation and final client sign-off, every member of the project team worked together with a shared goal. Despite an extremely demanding programme, everyone pulled together, solved challenges as one team and delivered a finished project that exceeded expectations.

At the official opening, Coventry City owner Doug King took the time to personally thank everyone involved. He spoke about the incredible attention to detail, the pride shown by every contractor, the huge effort invested by the entire team and the commitment to delivering such a special project within an incredibly tight deadline. Hearing those words from the client made all the hard work worthwhile.

Our Director, Rob Scott, was honoured to attend the opening event, where he also had the opportunity to meet Doug King and Head Coach Frank Lampard.

Reflecting on the project, Robert Scott said:

"This was a fantastic project to be involved in and one that everyone at LFE Engineering can be incredibly proud of. It was a privilege to work alongside such a professional and committed team throughout every stage of the project. Seeing the finished store, hearing Doug's appreciation for everyone's efforts, and attending the opening made all the hard work worthwhile. It was also a pleasure to meet Doug King and Frank Lampard and celebrate what was a real team achievement."

A huge thank you to everyone involved. Projects like this demonstrate what can be achieved when skilled people, strong partnerships and a shared commitment to quality come together.

Recently completed by the team at LFE Engineering, this bespoke acoustic exhaust stack system has been designed and manufactured to handle high temperature exhaust fumes while providing a robust and durable installation.

The project features:
▪ 316 Grade Stainless Steel acoustic exhaust stacks for excellent corrosion resistance and long-term performance in demanding environments.
▪ A fully fabricated mild steel support structure, manufactured in-house and finished with a durable powder-coated coating system.
▪ Precision fabrication, assembly and finishing carried out by our skilled engineering team.
▪ A complete solution designed to meet both operational and structural requirements.

Robert Scott said "This project is a great example of the versatility and capability within our fabrication team. The combination of high-grade stainless steel fabrication and structural steelwork demonstrates the quality, attention to detail, and engineering expertise that LFE Engineering brings to every project."

Projects like this demonstrate the breadth of capability within LFE Engineering, combining structural steelwork, stainless steel fabrication, and engineered support systems into a single, integrated package.

A great example of quality workmanship and attention to detail from everyone involved.

Four photos.

Four different activities.

One team.

From automated welding and precision fabrication to assembly, inspection and heavy lifting operations, these images capture just a small snapshot of what happens at LFE Engineering on any given day.

While the projects may vary, the focus remains the same:

✅ Safety
✅ Quality
✅ Teamwork
✅ Delivering for our clients

One of the things we enjoy most about engineering is that no two days are ever quite the same. Different challenges, different projects and different opportunities to apply the skills and experience of our team.

Engineering is often judged by the finished product, but success is built long before a project leaves the workshop.

We're proud of the people, skills and processes that make it happen.
