30.00mm thick, two tonne fabs one week onto a 1.00mm Thick aluminium race bike exhaust shield the next π΅βπ«
Three days before it's off to the Isle of Man pre TT and we have a problem !!!
The exhaust is fouling the lower fairing, simple enough to cut it out and make it fit but, current regs mean that the lower fairing has to be sealed to catch any engine oil if it lets go.
No time for fibreglass so an alloy patch will have to do.
You see a lot of old race bikes with things like this but they were made in the days when everyone knew a sheet metal worker and fibreglass wasn't available.
This is how I did it.
