Concrete and steel remain major contributors to global CO₂ emissions. They are heavy, resource-intensive to produce, and costly to transport.

Timber, by contrast, is renewable, low carbon, lightweight, and efficient to transport.

Innovarés timber based i-FAST panel delivers both low embodied and operational carbon. It enables Net Zero Carbon in Operation (NZCiO) and Passivhaus standards, while allowing us to clearly quantify the carbon benefits of timber. Our structures achieve up to 45% less embodied carbon compared to traditional build methods, thanks to significantly reduced reliance on carbon-intensive steelwork.

Innovarés i-FAST wall panels are being installed on site at Holy Trinity CoE Primary School, Leeds (Rothwell), with cladding and windows factory fitted before arrival. This approach improves installation efficiency on site while reducing disruption on a live school campus.

The new two storey school building is being delivered alongside the Department for Education, Bowmer + Kirkland and Pick Everard Architects as part of the Government’s School Rebuilding Programme and is scheduled to fully open in early 2027.

Stunning progress on site at Penwortham Girls’ High School. The new school building is really starting to take shape and what a transformation it will be!

Replacing the existing 1954 facilities, this project will deliver a sustainable, purpose-built environment designed for modern learning. The three-storey, L-shaped building will include a state-of-the-art sports hall, activity studios, dining and assembly spaces, bright contemporary classrooms, and a welcoming new reception area.

Innovaré is proud to be delivering our infill solution using our i‑FAST panels, in partnership with Bowmer + Kirkland and Pick Everard Architects for the Department for Education (DfE). By manufacturing large format panels offsite complete with cladding supplied by Benx and factory fitted windows supplied by Quest we’re Increasing Pre-Manufactured Value (PMV), reducing onsite risk and maintaining programme certainty, even in challenging weather. All while keeping disruption to a minimum on a live school site.

📅 On track for completion in Winter 2026, with final handover in Summer 2027.

Every Child Achieving and Thriving sets out the ambition. But what does that mean for real school buildings? Following Innovarés SEND event roundtable, we have published a new white paper exploring how school design can either support or block inclusion in practice.

SEND practitioners, inclusion leads and design specialists shared honest experiences of what is not working in many schools today and what needs to change if the government’s vision is to succeed.
From accessibility and sensory needs to staff wellbeing and flexible layouts, the message was clear:
good design plays a critical role in delivering inclusive education.

Our white paper links lived experience from the sector directly to the aims of the UK Government’s Every Child Achieving and Thriving white paper and shows where design can help turn policy into reality.

On Tuesday, we had a fantastic morning welcoming Year 10 students from Meadow Park Secondary School in Coventry to the Innovaré Offsite factory.

The school is part of the Finham Park Multi Academy Trust in Coventry, and this visit builds on our connection following the successful delivery of the Finham Park 2 School headquarters building. Innovaré Offsite worked alongside Deeley Construction to deliver the full structural solution for the new headquarters. During the visit, students toured our factory, experienced our offsite manufacturing processes first hand, and learned about the wide range of career opportunities within the built environment.

At Innovaré, creating social value is a key part of what we do. Engaging with students and supporting education pathways is central to our commitment to inspiring the next generation and strengthening the communities we work in. It’s always a pleasure to showcase the innovation, collaboration, and opportunities within our industry, and we hope the visit provided valuable insight into careers across construction, engineering, manufacturing, and design.
