How do you turn an electric adventure motorcycle into a fully equipped broadcast vehicle - without letting any of its kit extend beyond the bike itself?
That was the challenge behind this Zero DSR/X prototype, developed by Woodway for Magnet Motors and the BBC.
The motorcycle needed to carry tripods, an umbrella, cables and essential reporting equipment securely, while remaining balanced, road legal and easy to manoeuvre among dozens of other broadcast bikes.
The answer involved custom-fabricated storage tubes, bespoke brackets, 3D-printed components and a complete relocation of the rear lights and indicators to accommodate the largest tripod.
Every detail was designed around the reporters using it - including how quickly they could park, unload and begin broadcasting once they arrived at a story.
