Airports are being asked to deliver more than ever before — with greater complexity, tighter operational demands, and a clear industry shift toward electric and autonomous ground operations.
That transformation doesn’t happen by guesswork. It happens through simulation, validation, and data-driven planning.
Introducing our latest video showcasing Auto-Sim from Aurrigo — our powerful digital twin platform designed to help airports confidently plan the future of the ramp.
🔹 Create a full 3D digital twin of airport operations
🔹 Test autonomous vehicle deployment before live implementation
🔹 Simulate real-world interactions with traffic, crews, and workflows
🔹 Model electrification strategies, charging infrastructure, and power demand
🔹 Evaluate routing, fleet sizing, operator behavior, and rollout scenarios
🔹 Stress test safety, identify bottlenecks, and compare ROI between manual and autonomous operations
Auto-Sim enables airports to reduce risk, minimize disruption, and accelerate the transition to scalable zero-emission autonomous operations.
Because transforming the ramp should come with confidence — not uncertainty.

Aurrigo International plc has secured a new three-year £4.5m framework agreement to supply high-performance electrical sets for a next generation supercar programme. Under the terms of the deal, £810,000 of contracted orders will be delivered this year, with remaining volumes ramping up across 2027 and 2028 in line with the customer’s production schedule. This record contract, which is with a long-standing client, reflects the strength of the firm’s R&D and engineering capability in high-tech electrical systems and integration, and its track record of delivering complex programmes on time and to the highest possible quality.

Strategically, the award supports the group’s continued growth objectives, with the automotive division complementing the engineering, integration, validation and programme delivery capability of the autonomous team. It also reinforces Aurrigo’s reputation for precision engineering, reliability and innovation in complex, highly regulated and safety critical environments. “

This contract is further proof of our world-class engineering and delivery capability,” explained Prof. David Keene MBE, CEO of Aurrigo International. “Our automotive team is the innovation engine behind our autonomy capabilities, with a vertically integrated R&D function where advances in hardware, software, and AI are engineered into real-world autonomous systems, turning complex programmes into deployments built to exacting standards. He concluded: “That same discipline and technical depth feeds directly into our operations as we scale autonomy into demanding, safety-critical environments. We continue to see a strong pipeline for the autonomous division supported by high engagement from several blue-chip parties and positive progress across ongoing testing programmes.”

Aurrigo International appoints aviation expert as Director of Global Airport Operations

A leading international provider of autonomy software, fully autonomous vehicles and mobile robotics platforms has made the high-profile appointment of Mark Gower as Director of Global Airport Operations (non-board role).

This newly created role supports Aurrigo International’s next phase of growth, as it moves from proof-of-concept trials to scaled, repeatable commercial deployments of its autonomous vehicle solutions at airports.

With multiple deployments already live, the company is strengthening end-to-end delivery and building a more standardised global operating model.

Mark brings more than 25 years’ experience leading safety-critical aviation operations, most recently as Managing Director of Gatwick Ground Services (a wholly owned subsidiary of British Airways). In this role, he grew the business from 340 members of staff to more than 1,200 employees at one of the UK’s busiest airports.

Prior to this, he has held senior leadership roles at Aviator Airport Alliance, where he was responsible for approximately 8,000 employees across five UK locations.

His extensive experience ranges from working in regulated environments and managing complex, large-scale operations, to full profit and loss accountability.

“Aurrigo has already made strong progress in getting its technology into live airport operations. I’m joining at a point where there’s a clear opportunity to build consistency and scale from that foundation, and I’m looking forward to being part of that next stage of the journey,” commented Mark Gower, Director of Global Airport Operations at Aurrigo International.

Mark’s appointment comes at an important time for the business, after it started production of its autonomous vehicles, including Auto-DollyTug®, Auto-Cargo®, Auto-Shuttle®, at its new manufacturing hub on Power Park in Coventry.

More than three times the size of the firm’s current facility, the new site measures 130,615 square feet and will serve as its UK hub for advanced engineering, autonomous vehicle development, high-volume manufacturing and ongoing automotive activities.

The premises has been secured with turnkey infrastructure already in place, including IT systems, fully fitted offices, EV charging infrastructure, and manufacturing facilities, enabling rapid operational ramp-up.

Importantly, it also gives Aurrigo space for an on-site autonomous vehicle test track, supporting in-house validation, customer demonstrations, and accelerated development cycles.

Prof. David Keene MBE, CEO of Aurrigo International, added his support: “We are very pleased to welcome Mark to Aurrigo. His background in large-scale airport operations and delivery will be a strong addition to the team, as we continue to build momentum and move towards a more structured and scalable approach across our deployment programme.”

Technology award seals hat-trick of titles in just three months for Aurrigo International

A global provider of autonomy software, fully autonomous vehicles and mobile robotic platforms has sealed a hat-trick of award wins in the first three months of 2026.

Aurrigo International plc, which recently secured its largest-ever manufacturing contract with Ultra Global, added another trophy to its expanding cabinet last night when its CEO claimed the Technology Leader title at the West Midlands Leadership Awards.

Professor David Keene MBE overcome the strong challenge of Mandeep Athwal (School of Coding & AI), Rachel Curtis (Inicio AI), Ben Harwood (Naismiths), Himanshu Sharma (Go Diverse) and Melissa Snover of Rem3dy Health.

He impressed judges, including last year’s overall winner Mitchells Barnes of RYSE 3D, with the way he has accelerated the Coventry firm’s expansion into the world of aviation, a sector that is traditionally difficult to introduce new innovation.

Its growing range of autonomous vehicles are changing this narrative and have already been involved in real-world trials at 12 global airports, ranging from Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky International in the US to Zurich in Europe and Teesside closer to home in the UK.

The latest accolades come hot on the heels of David’s Ambassador of the Year honour at the Business Desk Awards and the Highly Acclaimed Innovative Logistics Solution in Air Cargo from the industry revered STAT Times.

“It has been a fantastic start to 2026 for Aurrigo International, with three major awards secured and, equally important, major plans coming to fruition for growth,” commented David, who received his MBE from Prince William last year.

“Technology is at the core of what we do, so it’s fantastic to be recognised in this field, especially when you consider the diverse and innovative nature of the firms we were up against.”

He continued: “Our Auto-DollyTug®, Auto-Cargo® and Auto-Shuttle® vehicles, not to mention our Auto-Sim® software platform, are promising to improve the passenger experience and increase efficiencies at airports across the globe, all whilst reducing their carbon footprint by 60% when compared to using diesel tugs. That’s proving a very attractive proposition.”

Aurrigo International plc was presented with the Highly Acclaimed Innovation Logistics Solution in Air Cargo by the STAT Times during the World Cargo Symposium in Lima earlier this month.

This industry award recognised the hard work of its UK and international teams in bringing autonomous solutions to the aviation industry.

David concluded: “It’s always fantastic to be recognised by your industry peers and that’s exactly what the STAT Times recognition was all about.

“We’ll use the hat-trick of awards to open new doors for us as a business and to reinforce to our fast-growing workforce that we are creating solutions that are changing the way airports work now and in the future.”
