Last week we were offering free lifejacket checks with our friends at RNLI Yarmouth Lifeboat at the Old Gaffers Regatta. ⛵️

We checked 38 lifejackets of which 25 were faulty. This really does prove the importance of servicing your lifejackets 🦺

We also collected £115.00 in donations for the RNLI so it was a busy and productive afternoon. 🛟

It was great to see so many people and thank you for popping by. We look forward to the next one 💙

Today is International Day for Women in Maritime 🦺

This day celebrates women in the maritime industry and at SeaSafe we want to take a moment to celebrate the women that work for us and also all the women that work in the Maritime sector and thank you for using our products to keep them safe at sea. 💙

We recently welcomed the Yarmouth RNLI Water Safety team to learn about the finer points of lifejacket inspections.

Lifejackets are a vital way to save lives but only if they are worn and they work.

Sadly, 80% of the lifejackets RNLI Yarmouth Lifeboat inspect have issues of one kind or another.

You can get your checked at their next lifejacket clinic which will be will be on Friday 22nd May at Yarmouth Harbour.

Well done to Daniel who swapped the SeaSafe office for a bit of running recently!

He completed the Shakespeare marathon in Stratford-upon-Avon. And came an incredible 18th place overall. 🏃🏻‍♂️

His finishing time was 2 hours 50 minutes 23 secs. And he was the 2nd male over 50.💪🏼

A harbour pilot is a highly experienced mariner who guides large vessels in and out of ports, navigating tight channels, tides, and currents. They board ships from small boats, often via rope ladders, and take over navigation from the captain to ensure safety in restricted waters. It is highly skilled work and it is crucial they wear the best safety equipment. ⚓
