In 2003 AJ Power was set up by a small dedicated team of former directors and senior managers of a well-known generator manufacturer, bringing over four decades of international power generation experience. Since its inception the company has maintained continuous growth, with products now distributed in over 80 countries worldwide. Based at a modern facility in Northern Ireland, UK, the company p
roduces diesel fueled electric power generating sets from 10kVA to 4000kVA, for use in hospitals, banks, data centres, supermarkets and hotels, as well as for industrial, construction, events, utilities, telecommunications, rental and residential applications, offering volume production with short delivery times. AJ Power now also has offices in England and Dubai as well as subsidiary businesses in Sweden and South Africa. AJ Power incorporates innovative solutions across its wide product range to provide a cost effective, reliable source of power with major components such as engines, alternators and steel are all produced or sourced in the United Kingdom, Europe or United States of America. Engines used include Perkins, AGCO Power, Scania, MTU, Mitsubishi and Deutz. AJ Power now employs a vast workforce, many from Northern Ireland’s specialist universities, designing, developing, manufacturing and testing a wide range of gensets. Designers use their knowledge of subjects like fuel combustion, electric circuits and digital control systems to optimise genset design. At the same time they have a strong appreciation of environmental factors such as noise, vibration, exhaust emissions and the achievement of electromagnetic compatibility. The company has gained many accreditations inculuding ISO9001 quality standard, ISO14000 environmental standard and ISO18001 for health and safety. The company is recognised for the quality of its products by the most discerning of users. From the freezing winters in Siberia to the searing heat and humidity of the Middle East, AJ Power generating sets are being put to work on a daily basis.
