With England kicking off their World Cup 2026 journey against Croatia tonight at 9pm, it’s time to unveil the squad everyone’s been waiting for... the SOS Starting XI! ⚽

We've taken a break from fabrication, welding and offshore projects to decide who'd play where on the pitch (and why).

First up, for Steve L our General Manager, the obvious choice was Team Manager. Always in charge, Steve’s the boss who manages strategy, key relationships and keeping things running smoothly.

You can find Shaun W, our very own Pipe Fitter, on the left wing. Quick up and down the wing, Shaun keeps the team together, prepping welds and supporting the wider team.

Playing centre forward, we have Harry M. As an Apprentice Welder, Harry values accuracy in all the work he completes and is always focused on hitting the target.

John R can be found protecting the right wing. He’s good at what he does and knows the trade inside out.

Our three midfielders, Matty C, Dale V and Robbie P, each bring their own strengths to the heart of SOS.

Matty, our Field Service Manager, keeps busy box to box, is always involved and on the move, ensuring our customers' onshore and offshore projects are coordinated and completed to the highest standard.

Dale, our Quality Manager, is always there to tidy up the mess, making sure customer products meet and exceed expectations every time.

Now Robbie, our newly qualified Welder, is always buzzing about and full of energy, eager to tackle any challenge that comes his way.

Storeman Stuart H plays at left back because he never misses a thing when it comes to keeping the SOS stores on track.

Both James T (Welder) and Stephen W (Semi-Skilled Man) are reliable team players with great attitudes, so the only appropriate position for them would be centre back.

William M, our Fabricator/Foreman, can be found playing right back. Another great team player, he's always happy to cover where required.

And last, but certainly not least, we have Ben S in goal. As a Welder, our customers' designs are always in a safe pair of hands.
