🚀 Employee Spotlight: Chris Brown 🚀
This month, we're shining the spotlight on Chris Brown, our fantastic Production and Transport Manager at Cementaid (UK) Limited. Chris joined us in August 2024 and quickly became an integral part of our team, learning the ropes from his predecessor who retired in December 2024.
With a wealth of experience under his belt, Chris has been steering our projects with precision and expertise. But there's more to Chris than just his professional skills—he's also known for his quirky and colorful sock collection! From polka dots to little cement mixers, his socks never fail to brighten up our office. 🧦😄
Q&A with Chris Brown
1. What inspired you to pursue a career in production and transport management?
Chris: Seeing my dad and how much he enjoyed his work as a skip driver inspired me to follow a similar path.
2. What do you enjoy the most about working with Cementaid?
Chris: Every day is different. The variety keeps things exciting and challenging, and I love being part of a team that supports each other.
3. Can you share a memorable moment from your time here so far?
Chris: The first meeting in London when I met the whole Sales team. It was great to understand how the business runs and to see the passion everyone has for their work.
4. Do you prefer being in the truck (HGV) or in the office?
Chris: Both—they're different experiences. Being in the truck allows me to see the practical side of our operations, while the office gives me the chance to strategize and plan.
5. We hear you have an interesting sock collection. What's the story behind that?
Chris: There's no big story. I once wore some snazzy socks, and everyone started calling me "Snazzy Socks." It became a fun way to express myself, and now I also wear other snazzy clothes like t-shirts.
6. What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
Chris: Spending time with my family is my top priority, but when F1 is back (March 16), I enjoy watching the races. It's a thrilling sport that I look forward to every season.
7. What advice would you give to someone starting in a similar role?
Chris: This is the job for you! Embrace the challenges, stay curious, and always be willing to learn. The rewards are worth it.
