It was a privilege for Arque to support the Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust Awards Night as one of the evening’s sponsors.

Our Contracts Director, Nigel Parker, attended on behalf of Arque and had the pleasure of joining an evening that recognised the dedication, care and commitment shown by so many people across the Trust.

We’re pleased to have completed the Podium Level 1 Refurbishment at Torbay Hospital for Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.

The project involved the refurbishment of existing office space within a live hospital environment, including new M&E installations, internal partitions, glazed screens, lighting, floor finishes, decorations, ceiling rafts, External access and FF&E.

The completed works have helped provide improved office space within the existing hospital estate, supporting the Trust with a better configured and upgraded working environment.

Thank you to the project team, consultants and our supply chain for their work throughout.

We are proud to have joined the Hospiscare 40 Club for 2026/2027, continuing our support after first joining in 2025.

Hospiscare provides vital end of life care and support for patients, families and friends across Exeter and the wider community, and we are pleased to be supporting their work again through a number of fundraising activities.

Last year, we hosted our first annual Arque Charity Quiz, and we will be bringing the event back again this year. Members of our team are also taking on the Great West Run in support of Hospiscare, and we have signed up for the Devon Business League at Raceworld Ltd, once again helping to raise funds for such an important local charity.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps Hospiscare continue delivering care when it matters most.

We were pleased to attend the grand opening of Exeter College’s new 8-bed training ward last Friday.

The new facility has been designed to give students a realistic healthcare learning environment, supporting practical training and helping prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.

For Arque, it has been a privilege to play a part in delivering a space that will have a lasting benefit for students, staff and the wider community.

A big thank you to everyone involved in bringing the project together, including Pino Butler, Samantha Hillman, Steven Strang, Steve Scutchings, Philip Thompson of Grainge Architects Ltd, Darren Baker of Peninsula Project Consulting, the Exeter College Estates team, and of course our trusted supply chain partners.

Last Thursday, members of our team took part in RGB Recruitment Ltd’s Charity Quiz Night in support of FORCE Cancer Charity.

Although we did not walk away with the win, it was a brilliant evening spent supporting a cause that makes a real difference to people and families across the region.

A big thank you to RGB for hosting and to everyone involved in making the evening such a success.

We were pleased to play a small part in helping raise money for such an important charity.

Today is Earth Day, and it feels like the right moment to reflect on the environmental commitments we have built into how we work at Arque.

Sustainability is not something we return to once a year. It is part of how we plan projects, manage our operations and work with our supply chain every day.

Some of the steps we have taken so far:
✅ 300 trees planted to date, with one planted for every £50,000 of project value
✅ Ongoing carbon offsetting as part of our broader emissions reduction programme
✅ Growing use of electric vehicles across our fleet
✅ Recycling rates consistently between 69% and 84%
✅ Year-on-year reductions in fleet, landfill and recycling-related emissions
✅ Energy efficiency improvements across our offices and sites
✅ Continued ISO 14001 certification, giving us a clear framework to set and measure our environmental objectives

We also continue to focus on material reuse, responsible procurement and reducing waste in practical, meaningful ways.

There is always more to do. But we are committed to making steady, measurable progress, and days like today are a useful reminder of why that matters.

External refurbishment works at Launceston Hospital, Cornwall, are nearing completion as the scaffolding has now been dismantled.

Delivered on behalf of Property Services and working alongside Kingscott, this £100k project has focused on protecting and restoring the building envelope — keeping a working healthcare facility in good condition for the staff and patients who rely on it.

A straightforward project, delivered carefully. That’s what our clients should always be able to expect from us.

𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐞 🛠️

We are proud to have completed the £650,000 roofing project at Landscore Primary. Despite a challenging start to the year with the weather, the finished result has given the site a fantastic new look, and being so close to our head office makes it even more special to deliver quality work in our local community.
