We’re pleased to share that works have commenced at Falmouth Hospital for NHS Property Services Ltd, delivering a full heating and domestic water services upgrade, along with new nurse call and lighting systems.

The works are being delivered in five phases while the hospital stays fully operational, with live wards next to every working area. Alongside the large M&E upgrades, the scheme includes new ceilings, flooring, IPS panels, asbestos removal and certified fire stopping.

Thank you to NHS Property Services Ltd, Kendall Kingscott Ltd and Hulley and Kirkwood. We look forward to seeing this project progress over the coming months.

We've recently completed the refurbishment of the Reception Area at St. Margaret's Hospice Care's Daycare Unit in Yeovil.

The building is shared by St. Margaret's and Yeovil District Hospital's oncology department, and this project is the first step in reshaping how the two care providers use the site together. The result is one welcoming space for patients, carers and visitors of both services, with a new reception, a relocated hospice shop, a café servery and a dedicated hospital reception and waiting area.

While the unit was closed during the works, a hospice setting still calls for care and respect, and our team approached it with that in mind.

Thank you to St. Margaret's Hospice Care for their collaboration. It's been a privilege to help create a warmer welcome for everyone who comes through the doors.

Last night, BBC One's DIY SOS shared the story of Georgie and her three children here in Devon, a family left with an unfinished home after the sudden loss of her husband, Chris.

Over eight days, hundreds of trades, suppliers and volunteers came together to finish what the family had started. We were proud to play our part alongside them.

Projects like this are a reminder of what our industry can achieve when it pulls together, and of the difference a safe, finished home makes to a family's future.

Thank you to the DIY SOS team for bringing everyone together, and to our own team for giving their time and skills. Most of all, we wish Georgie and her family every happiness in their new beginning.

Yesterday our team held a beach and coastal path clean at Budleigh Salterton on behalf of Surfers Against Sewage . As well as clearing litter, we recorded what we found and sent the data to Surfers Against Sewage to support their national monitoring of coastal pollution.

A small, practical way to give back to the places we live and work.

We've handed over the new Seaton Satellite Unit for Mill Water School, delivered for Devon County Council.

The project saw the former Axe Valley Children's Centre transformed into a purpose-designed learning space for up to 25 Key Stage 4 pupils with complex learning needs. The unit focuses on life skills, helping pupils build independence ahead of the move to post-16 education.

Inside, the building was fully remodelled to create new classrooms, a life skills room, a hygiene room and a relocated kitchen, with widened doorways and level access throughout. Outside, we created a safe drop-off area, a new entrance ramp, secure fencing and gates, and a resurfaced car park with EV charging.

Converting an existing building into a specialist school setting means every detail matters, from access widths to the finishes pupils will use every day. Our thanks to the team at South West Norse and Devon County Council for a collaborative project from start to finish, and to our supply chain partners for their part in bringing it together.

We're pleased to see the building ready for its first pupils this term.

Good progress continues at our Premier Inn project over in Exmouth. It's a project we're pleased to be part of here in the south west, and our team is working closely with everyone involved to keep things moving smoothly on site. We'll share more as the project develops.

Halfway through her internship with us, Jewel already knows one thing for certain: she's in the right field.

Originally from Myanmar, Jewel has been in the UK for just ten months. She studies architecture at Newcastle University and joined Arque for 2.5 months of work experience, getting stuck into several aspects of the business, from time on live sites to conversations with people right across the construction industry.

Here's how she puts it: "It has truly been an amazing experience. I've had the privilege to work alongside industry professionals and get exposure to live sites, which has improved my understanding of various architectural elements such as materiality."

Helping the next generation into construction careers matters to us, and Jewel has been a great addition to the team.

We're on site in the heart of Exeter.

Work has started at 10a Cathedral Yard, where we're carrying out careful repair and refurbishment works to the display cases for Exeter City Council , right beside Exeter Cathedral.

It's one of the city's best-known spots, so we'll be working tidily and safely around everyone passing by, and keeping any disruption to a minimum while we're there.

Being based just up the road in Crediton, it's always good to have a project this close to home. Thanks to Exeter City Council for their confidence in us, and we'll share a few updates as the works progress.
