We have had a new 28,000 litre tank has been installed at our Hinckley site

The new tank is our latest investment as the we continue to improve the sites compliance, making sure we are up to date with the latest BAT requirements

It has also helped to improve safety for the operators with better level monitoring and integrated safety cut offs than the old tank

The Environmental Agency recently visited Greenway Hinckley to inspect our current site operations

Thanks to the team effort, the site received a 0 score as the team continues to implement and maintain a high standard of compliance, meaning the site continues to operate as a band A operator

We have partnered with their sister company, Novum Waste Recycling to open up a new, R coded transfrontier shipment (TFS) route for pharmaceutical wastes through our site in Bootle

Our offtake partner in mainland Europe produce both district heating and electricity at the same time for the local community , which means that the fuel is used to its maximum recovery potential

We have capacity for all your pharmaceutical needs, accepting EWC codes:
07 05 13 - solid wastes containing hazardous substances
15 01 10 - packaging containing residues of or contaminated by hazardous substances
16 03 05 - organic wastes containing hazardous substances
18 01 06 - chemicals consisting of or containing hazardous substances
18 02 05 - chemicals consisting of or containing hazardous substances

As a mark of respect, all GRG Waste UK companies will be closed on on Monday 19th September for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's State Funeral

We are deeply saddened to hear the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

For over seven decades, Her Majesty has dedicated her life to service for her country and the Commonwealth, including acting as an advocate for action against climate change, alongside her many other duties.

Even when in the poor health, Her Majesty delivered a very personal message at the crucial COP26 Summit, with the hope that world leaders will recognise that the time for words has now moved to a time for action.

Thank you Ma'am for your commitment to our country, and our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this time, as the country comes together to pay tribute and remember Queen Elizabeth II.

A lot has been going on behind the scenes here at Greenway and we are pleased to announce a number of promotions across our talented team!

In March, Josh Fagan took on a temporary role as acting Site Manager for our Bootle site. Since that time, despite many bumps in the road, Josh has excelled in the role and has built a great team on site, with many positive improvements as a direct result of his work. Recently, Josh has agreed to take on the role permanently, and this appointment provides RFS with a leader who will take the site into the future, and one who will develop his team with care and skill.

Simon Cobbold has been promoted to National Sales Manager for Greenway Environmental. He joined the GRG Family in October 2020 with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the waste sector. Add in his enthusiasm and drive, we have no doubt he will be successful in managing our companies growth in the coming years.

And lastly, congratulations to Gill Gallagher and Kane Franklin on their promotion to Regional Sales Managers for Greenway. After 8 months training, Gill will be taking her energy, enthusiasm and natural communications skills to increase sales in the North West, and Kane will utilise his excellent technical knowledge and communication skills to develop business in the East Midlands and South East.

The new roof build at Bootle to create 3 individual fire-resistant bays is complete 🤩

This roof build is Greenway's largest ever spend that is solely focused on improving safety and compliance, and not in the interest of increasing sales capacity or operational ability

We are excited about the build as it protects our waste, our site and our neighbours, making us a safer place to work, and fully complies with the Environmental Agency's new Appropriate Measures Guidance
